Thank you for your kind words!
We promise to keep delivering quality personal centered care to all that needs it in the beautiful Hampstead and Camden and surrounding areas in London.
"Walfinch Home Care Hampstead and Camden provides a wonderful support and help not only to my elderly mom, but also to me and my family. We are often abroad, I am not able to visit her regularly, and that was causing lots of stress to all of us. After I found Steve Elliott and his team my momโs quality of life changed dramatically and I am not worry that she will go to bed hungry or will miss a doctorโs appointment any more. I highly recommend their services and want to say big thank you for the great job that the whole team does "
Our client Poet Robert is so pleased with the care he receives from the home care team at Walfinch Hampstead and Camden that he has written a poem, titled CREDO, about it - and won first prize in Walfinchโs poetry competition.
Robert says: โI am delighted at CREDOโs success.โ
In this video Robert accepts his prize from Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of Walfinch and Steve Elliott Managing director of Hampstead and Camden branch.
Robert is a lexicographer who is skilled in the study of words, and a compiler of dictionaries. He has been Poet Laureate of Budgens Belsize Park, is Poet
Laureate of the Belsize Community Library and regularly has his poems
published in the Hampstead and Highgate Express.
Now he has written a touching poem to celebrate the care delivered by his
Walfinch Hampstead and Camden carers.
CREDO
It isnโt just the shopping, cooking, cleaning
That makes our clients happy : itโs the smile
Our carers really mean that can beguile
The downcast into feeling better - weaning
Them gently back into full adultness
From cozy infancy that seems so good
- Provided thereโs no trial to be withstood -
To taking proper pride in their success.
But donโt think that is all mere airy-fairy
Thereโs hard work to be done to dress them well
To deal with all their needs in parallel,
To keep them mobile - even the unwary -
To treat each like you : a body housing a mind.
Maybe Holisticโs another name for Kind.

At the Care Leaders Networking event today!
We are excited to share a news article about our Managing Director, Steve Elliott and his journey to joining the Walfinch family a year ago.
With almost two decades of experience in the home care industry, and having originally started his career as a frontline carer, Steve Elliott has now become the Managing Director of Walfinch home care Hampstead and Camden.
Steve says: โHaving been a carer, I know the importance of providing friendly, reliable, and personalized care to each and every person we meet. My aim is to create a hyper-local, outstanding service that is known for its truly caring approach. I ultimately want those living locally, who may need home care of any kind, to think of Walfinch. With the established systems, processes, and support from the franchisor, I feel I can completely focus on achieving this aim.โ

Dementia Action Week Monday 13 May to Sunday 19 May 2024
In the United Kingdom, approximately 850,000 people are currently living with dementia, and this number is projected to rise to over 1 million by 2025.
The impact of dementia is not limited to the individuals living with the condition.
Families face emotional, financial, and practical challenges as they adapt to the changing needs of their loved ones.
The burden is also felt by healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers striving to improve dementia care and support systems.
The dedicated caregivers of Walfinch Hampstead and Camden offer professional personalised dementia care, that involves tailoring support and interventions to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual with dementia.
Here are a few examples
๐ Individualised Care Plans:
Creating personalized care plans that take into account the individual's specific symptoms, abilities, and preferences. For example, adapting activities and routines to align with the person's daily rhythms and preferences.
๐ Memory Aids and Reminiscence Therapy:
Using memory aids such as memory boards, memory books, or digital devices to help individuals recall important information and memories. Reminiscence therapy involves discussing past experiences and memories to promote emotional well-being and cognitive stimulation.
๐ Sensory Stimulation:
Incorporating sensory stimulation activities tailored to the individual's preferences and sensory abilities. This may include listening to familiar music, engaging in tactile activities like gardening or crafting, or aromatherapy sessions.
๐Validation Therapy:
Employing validation techniques to communicate and connect with individuals experiencing disorientation or confusion. This involves acknowledging and validating the person's feelings and experiences, even if they may not align with reality, to promote emotional comfort and reduce distress.
Dementia may present challenges, but with increased awareness, research, and support, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive society for those living with dementia. Together, we can make a difference.

๐จ Prevent Falls, Save Lives! ๐จ
๐ Care England and Stow Healthcare sought recognised that falls are the most common cause of injury-related deaths in people over the age of 75.
โผ๏ธ People living in care homes are three times more likely to fall than those living at home; they are generally more frail, less mobile and have a higher prevalence of incontinence than the general population.
At Walfinch Hampstead & Camden, we understand the critical importance of falls prevention for our elderly loved ones. That's why we offer personalised home care services designed to promote safety, independence, and well-being.
Our expertly trained caregivers are dedicated to creating a safe environment and implementing fall prevention strategies, including:
๐น Regular safety assessments
๐น Home modifications for improved accessibility
๐น Assistance with mobility and transfer techniques
๐น Medication management to reduce side effects that may contribute to falls
๐น Supervision and support during daily activities
๐น Ongoing education and support for clients and their families
With our comprehensive approach to falls prevention, we strive to reduce the risk of falls and ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
Don't let falls jeopardize your loved one's health and independence.

Walfinch has been providing fantastic care for two friends of mine who have no other family. Having lived together for almost 65 years, the two men - one 94 the other 98 - refused to accept that they could no longer take care of each other, yet were reluctant to consider going into a care home. After repeated falls and other increasingly worrying health issues, the end looked to be in sight. Finally, however, their deteriorating situation convinced them that the only answer was live-in care. Walfinch, under the remarkable direction of the Manager, stepped up to the plate and now provides a full 24-hour care provision that is sensitive, understanding, compassionate and dignified. The improvement in the two men's quality of life is remarkable, and they now enjoy a much happier life, as devoted to their carer as he is to them. I cannot imagine a care service as complete and committed as that provided by Walfinch, and I recommend it highly and unhesitatingly.

For the last 18 months, Walfinch have been providing really dedicated care to two elderly friends of mine, neither of whom have any other family. Having lived together for nearly 65 years, neither could accept that they were no longer able to look after each other and the prospect of going into a care home was not to be considered Finally, after mounting struggles to deal with repeated falls, and ongoing poor health issues, the end looked to be in sight for both of them. Walfinch, under the personal direction of the remarkable Steve Elliott, came to the rescue. The two men - one 94 and the other 98 - now have exceptional live-in care which is considerate, understanding and committed. Their every need is catered for and the improvement Walfinch has been able to make to their present quality of life is truly remarkable. Both men are happier than they have been for ages and are now as devoted to their carer as he is to them. I doubt any other organisation could give a more sympathetic and dignified care than Walfinch. I recommend them whole-heartedly and unreservedly.
