Some of my favourites (but only some, it was a fab selection!) from this years Summer Exhibtion - special shout out to the wall of black cats and robins, I felt very seen.
I’m at it in my little smiley factory today (yeh yeh ok I’m in my workshop in the shed, you got me!) - I’ve not been able to get out here for two weeks because the garden was pulled to pieces (technical term) - it’s so so nice to be back making your orders, and playing with some new designs as well!
How great does my vase look over at bar? Every island needs a bit of neon, I’m sure that’s a saying 🤔
A life lesson - you’ve always been told you are a candle holder but you want to be a vase, don’t you let anyone tell you otherwise 💪🏼 We can learn so much from this little guy 🧡🖤🧡
💕
Guys I’ve been absolutely appalling at the old self promotion thing recently… I have no excuses. If you are happy to be reminded that I exist please celebrate that fact by using WELCOME10 for a spot of discount over on my website (link in bio). There will definitely be a few of my traditional free gifts thrown in too. PS how the devil are you? Fill me - holidays? New job? New house? Tell me everything.
Hey there little fella 👋
Some nice recent things - things of Bermondsey. Including the chronically under visited (by me)
What’s it like seeing the Mona Lisa in real life? Well I wouldn’t call it the most intimate or relaxing experience 🤣
Think she missed me?
A little bit of Paris today 🥐
This is a fun flashback to this one-off tray I made for my sister - and a fun flashback to when there was sunshine in my garden!
When you go to Ireland for the first time since you were 14 and Guinness becomes your new personality 🇮🇪
A bit of Dublin art/ views. Flipping fabulous.
There was a lot of sky today. Had a lovely walk over Tower Bridge. I think the cloud followed me home unfortunately.
A bit of Belfast - my first visit to Northern Ireland, definitely not my last.
1 - Mary Ann McCracken - abolitionist, educator, social reformer and business woman. 2 - Belfast city hall. 3 - The Famine Window. 4 - Bobby Sands mural on Falls Road. 5 - Someone dropped some rude words. 6 - Kennington boy. 7 - The Crown Liquor Saloon, dating back to 1880s. 8 - Irish water. 9 - Titanic ceiling replica (obv) in The Hilton Belfast.
Someone sweetly asked me today what my next idea is, and I answered honestly (as I’m prone to do, IYKYK) that I don’t know. I’m searching for some new inspiration. I want some new ideas, some new colour combos, some new patterns. While I work on that, how do you find creative inspiration? Do you worry about finding it?
What do you mean you don’t stand at your fire place with a glass of wine? Would you if there were some Smiley coasters up there? I think you would 💜
Today’s make - Black and White Graffiti Tall Vase - getting a little sealant before it goes off to its new tune with some very nice people 🖤🤍
Ah Valentine’s Day… luxuriating over a long breakfast, staring into each other’s eyes… counting your love’s freckles, planning a wander by the river, maybe a quiet drink somewhere cosy… Yeh maybe not since Valentine’s Day this year is on a Wednesday, but hey it’s nice to dream 😬
How was your January? Content wise I’ve been crap, been doing that annoying life thing - travelling about, turning 40, falling down stairs, and of course making your very unexpected (in January) orders 😘 I’m off for my 40th celebrations today, hopefully you won’t mind 💚
Okay, it’s not actually sunset. But the best bridge with an associated song, sorry nursery rhyme fans.
Cats we saw in Amsterdam, and a print we bought because it looks exactly like Maggie. Holiday cats are always a highlight for us. 🐾
I want to live here…
I’ll be dispatching some orders tomorrow (Wednesday) so if you’d like one of them to be yours please get in touch to see if what you are after is already made otherwise it may not be with you before Christmas. Obv use DECTHEHALLS for your 10% off my website
It’s wet today isn’t it? Like, wash your hair without going inside wet. What an absolute waste of a pre Xmas day. I did read we could have a white Christmas though, but don’t tell anyone because if we talk about it too much it won’t happen 🤫 But we can talk about how DECTHEHALLS gets you 10% off my website during December.
I’m still dispatching orders this week but will have to slow down towards the end of the week so if you’d like to order anything please do - don’t forget you’ve got DECTHEHALLS for 10% off
Zingy! This tray isn’t on the website yet but if you’d like to order one send me a DM.
