The astrologer with the golden cockerel from Pushkin’s poem The Tale of the Golden Cockerel written in 1834 and turned into an opera by Rimsky-Korsakov in 1907. This is a glass decoration made in the 1950’s in the former Soviet Union. We ship worldwide

With a diameter of 10” this Daishoji Imari scalloped edged plate was made late 19thC in Kutani. Japan. The condition is wonderful and looks to of been kept in a cabinet from new. We ship worldwide

To celebrate the United Nations ‘International Day of Human Space Flight’, which is held to commemorate this day , the 12th April 1961, when Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space when he circled the earth aboard the spacecraft Vostok 1. We have a cosmonaut made in the 1960’s in the former Soviet Union and a tree topper with a rocket finial, also made in the Soviet Union. Both are made of glass and are on show in the shop today.
