After working hard to wrap and take our latest edition of CORE News to the post office, we are relaxing by playing Shuffle Board. Trickier than it looks.

On Monday 29th July CORE Projects team made their own song by playing drums, bass guitar and keyboard at Spotlight in Poplar. The group really enjoyed it and would like to make more music again.

Today CORE Sports team practiced their tennis skills at our centre. Before playing the skeleton game.

Today CORE Sports group went Footgolf. It was super fun and a really nice day out. Wobi came first, Sharif came second and Kamrul came third. Well everyone!

Today’s CORE Sports have played badminton, boccia, kingball, volleyball and finishing off with cricket.

On Monday we launched our Connecting Communities Summer Taster Program at CREATE. We will be running lots of amazing free sessions in Tower Hamlets in July, August and September. Contact us if you are interested in being involved.

We are kick starting our CORE Sports session with some soft tennis skills. Who can hit all their cones first?

One of our directors is attending Physical Activity Place Partnership Workshop at Tower Hamlets Town Hall. We are hoping to influence how accessible leisure facilities in the borough are for residents with learning disabilities.

On Wednesday 5th June CORE Soorts team attended the Vallance FC SEN Sports Day at Mile End Stadium.

Karen won player of the tournament for the football competition.

Sharif and Jess both won their races.

Well done to the team for the hard work and trying their best in every sport they took part in.

We are attending the REAL AGM this evening at the Tower Hamlets Town Hall.

We said goodbye to two student social workers from University of East London after completing their 70 days with us. Animbola and Ehi have been amazing and we have really enjoyed having them both as part of our team. We wish them both all the very best for the future and we will all miss you both!

The CORE News team met with Tower Hamlets Mayor Lutfur Rahman as he came to officially open Mile End Leisure Centre which is now run by the council.

CORE Sports group have been playing cricket and Boccia in todays sports session.

Our CORE Sports team are warming up for badminton doubles matches today.

CORE Sports finished off their sports day activities with a few rounds of volleyball.

CORE Sports team played our own version if cricket called football cricket. Players score by hitting the ball into the football nets.

This afternoon CORE Sports team are practicing their cricket skills. Batting and bowling.

CORE Sports are playing Boccia. This gets very competitive. Who will win red or blue team?

CORE Soorts group are playing the cone game. It can get quite competitive to see who knocks all their cones first.

CORE Sports group are playing tennis at the centre today. Just warming up for our championship game.

The CORE News team went off to the Olympic Park for Bikeworks AllAbility cycling session. We had a great time cycling around the park.

CORE Sports team have been playing hockey practising their skills by doing the cone game. Players circle the cones and when a colour is called out players dribble to that cone. If their don’t have a cone to go to then they are out. A fun warm up activity.
