It may come as a surprise to some, the CSC Head Office staff really do play chess!

Here are the details of a brand new event, featuring the CSC team in action.

'Evelyn Partners are proud to launch the Evelyn Partners Cup – our firm’s inaugural annual City Corporate Chess competition.

It is hosted in partnership with the City Chess Association and Chess in Schools and Communities, which brought a team led by International Master Malcolm Pein.

The event runs for a further two weeks - next week it is “Masters Monday” as several matches are expected to see titled players pitted against each other.'

Tutor Training Day, London, Wednesday 9th October 2024 — Chess in Schools and Communities 10/09/2024

Tutor training days are for prospective CSC tutors and any non-school staff interested in teaching chess to children.

These courses run from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at various locations around the country and online.

We're teaming up with Chess in Schools and Communities to offer chess sessions in Crosby Library, starting soon, but we need your help! If you'd like to volunteer to support sessions with children as well as adults, message us or email at [email protected]. We'll provide informal training and support you in developing your chess skills further!

If you're completely new to the game, and want to dip your toe in the water, stay tuned for more information about when sessions will be taking place!
