RYAN KERNAGHAN + KNEECAP
Directed by Rich Peppiatt, Feature Kneecap follows “the birth of Kneecap, a hip and naughty Irish rap group”.
Kneecap features cinematography by Ryan Kernaghan and received its World Premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. This breaks history as it is the first Irish language film to premiere at the Sundance film festival! Kneecap picked up the NEXT Audience Award (presented by Adobe) at the festival and has received some glowing reviews!
Variety Magazine: “there’s enough gutsy charm packed into the charged performances of the rappers turned convincing actors and Ryan Kernaghan’s vivaciously shapeshifting cinematography, even as the film ramps up to an expectedly uplifting finale, to earn it some slack.”
BFI: “Rich Peppiatt’s film sees the Belfast-based, Irish-language rapping th*****me (stage names Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí) journey through an exhilarating, exaggerated tale of ketamine binges, PSNI run-ins and raucous sell-out gigs, deftly managing a tonal tightrope that keeps the story grounded in reality, despite its outlandish elements.”
Slant: “Indeed, most of Peppiatt’s film isn’t about respectability, but rather debasement, and sugar-coating Kneecap’s widespread antics isn’t on the menu. From their extensive drug use and run-ins with the peelers to their wild stage antics and various s*xual escapades, Kneecap embodies the abrasive resilience commonly associated with Irish and Scottish people.”
The feature stars Michael Fassbender (Prometheus, Steve Jobs), Simone Kirby (Notes on Blindness, Peaky Blinders), Jessica Reynolds (Outlander, Derry Girls) and Emer Casey (The Tourist, Three Families).

WE DARE TO DREAM + FRANKLIN DOW
Directed by Oscar winning Waad Al-Kateab (For Sama), Feature Documentary We Dare to Dream is currently on the festival circuit and had its World Premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Cinematography by Franklin Dow, We Dare to Dream is voiced by John Legend and follows “complete access to the IOC Refugee Olympic Team which were part of the Tokyo Olympics.”
The New Arab: “Waad Al-Kateab made her name in the cinematic landscape because of her deeply personal portrait of life, love and trauma during the Syrian Civil War.
For Sama documents five years of her survival during the uprising in Aleppo and, with the help of director Edward Watts, she turned her footage into an Oscar-nominated and BAFTA award-winning documentary.“
“Now Al-Kateab has set her camera lens on similarly displaced individuals, though these subjects are striving to compete at the highest levels of athletic competition, with Angelina Jolie as executive producer.”
Digitial Journal: “The film follows the story of refugee athletes from Iran, Syria, South Sudan, and Cameroon who swim, run and fight their way to opportunity and safety in host nations across the world.
It features powerful personal stories of displacement, resilience and triumph; moreover, it reveals the lives and hopes of refugee athletes training to compete on the world stage, showing the fire and the drive of young people forced to leave their families, homes and countries of birth to build new lives out of nothing.
The film sheds lights on some important issues (such as upholding the rights and dignity of refugees), and it seeks to lift up people from all around the globe.”

With Cinematography by Simon Stolland and Costume Design by Mekel Bailey, Sumotherhood stars Adam Deacon (Anuvahood), Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous), Danny Sapani (Black Panther), Peter Seafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Ed Sheeran (Red Notice).
"Riko and Kane have got it all... big dreams, no respect and a fifteen grand debt. Could things get any worse? Yes. So, it's time to man up and finally be taken serious as "Roadmen". Once putting their heads together on various ways to make some money, they decide to rob a megastar in a nightclub toilet and hold up the local bank but things inevitably don't go to plan! However, somehow a misunderstanding leads them to be desired and acquired for business with one of East London's toughest firms, putting them in the line of fire to the firm's arch-rivals. Can Riko and Kane live up to their name? Will Riko win the affection of Tamara and if he does, will Tyrese, Tamara's lunatic stepbrother, allow Riko to live? Will his life be worth living if the local London Feds draw a line back to our duo?"
The Independent: “The bromance comedy also sees cameos from Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Saunders – but it’s the central duo of Adam Deacon and Jazzie Zonzolo who make the film worth the ticket.”
Evening Standard: “Deacon is undoubtedly funny, confident in both his understanding of and right to completely rip the p**s out of the London crime dramas that made his name, and all the wannabe gangsters within them. He shares writing credits with co-star Zonzolo and Anuvahood collaborator Michael Vu, who clearly appreciate Deacon’s need for catharsis and closure.”
