Our Chair, Dr Michael Dixon, has been made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO).
College of Medicine Council Member Dr Fiona Butler has been made a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO).
Mr Michael Dooley, our Treasurer, is also made an LVO.
Fantastic to hear how pupils at Padiham Green C of E Primary School in Burnley have been growing their own food...and they got the biggest cheer of the day so far!

Ahead of IPM Congress 2024, the College of Medicine's Chair, Dr Michael Dixon, has written a letter to The Times newspaper addressing the GP retention crisis the country's healthcare system is currently facing.
In the correspondence, Dr Dixon says a lack of resources in primary care to employ GPs and over-regulation are just two of the factors that have resulted in a workforce exodus.
The GP calls on the incoming Government, whatever the outcome of the general election, to overhaul the NHS - and overcome the 'massive vested interests that have allowed a toxic system to exist'.
