We have been trading independently for almost 13 years and have got to where we are with no PR or marketing budget, only thanks to the quality of our products and your word of mouth.

Here is a selection of feedback we’ve had from you recently!

For those who have been asking about our wonderful culinary argan oil, we are still stocking it but it’s been selling faster than we can keep up with! We are not actually happy about this, we are disappointed that we are letting so many of you down who rely on it for your health needs. We are doing what we can to increase production but the process of making and exporting argan oil is complicated at the moment and it will take a bit more time before we can sustain full availability to meet demand - which is especially high at the moment. We recommend that you sign up to our ‘back in stock’ alerts through the website to be the first in line when we get it back in!

Missing the argan trees and the clean air surrounding them right now as I’m not as mobile with a baby, so London it is! This time of year is harvest time for the argan fruit. 🙏🏼🌿

I always felt that having a baby had to be similar in some ways to starting a business.

Now I have experienced both, my initial reaction was that this was not the case!!! After all nothing compares to the emotions you experience post having a baby- where it feels so natural to take a role as your child’s slave (lolzzzz) and protector! Words can’t even do justice to the feeling of having part of your heart outside your body- the feelings of love and connection are unbelievably intense and at times uncomfortable. The way you get to know them through studying their every detail, their facial expressions, reaction to things, often in the middle of the night during feeds- like an obsession.

Since having more time to reflect I go back to noticing the similarities.

For example, the way you are so emotionally attached (your happiness and confidence often tied to how your business is doing) & how at the beginning it’s so dependent on you, to the extent that it comes before anything else & you find yourself often having to drop plans at the last minute.

The unpredictable nature of it all & having to live for the day and be prepared for anything. And it often feeling like a 24 hour job. Something you can’t stop thinking about- you know the relationship is somewhat unhealthy like an addiction but there is also no other way!

Now that Arganic is more mature, it doesn’t feel as the above as much, I’ve had a chance to settle in the ebb and flow of things over many years 😅. But it’s useful to remember the start!

If you are looking for inspo for a natural energy drink, this has been seriously giving me energy recently! It’s made from a little bit of pure seabuckthorn/ seaberry juice from . This juice which tastes quite tart is exceptionally high in Vitamin C and I’m a big fan, sometimes getting my fix from . The argania spinosa tree is a UNESCO protected ancient species which has been around since the dinosaur era! It’s very stubborn and only grows in a small part of Morocco (bar a negligible amount in Tunisia & Algeria) . Because of the value of argan oil in the cosmetic world where it is a highly coveted (& thus often diluted & compromised!) ingredient, there has been a lot of money & research pumped into trying to grow the tree in other countries with similar climates. However the efforts have been in vain. While the tree grows, it doesn’t bare the fruit required to produce the oil. That has only been achieved not naturally but via genetic modification in places like Israel. So.. if you want real argan oil, makes sure it’s from Morocco. And if you know how hard it is to get the good stuff, make sure it’s Arganic!! 💛

I sometimes wonder if life just happens to me or if I’ve planned it all along.

Recently I learned that where it’s much more common to be at one end of the scale, I’m basically 50% a planner & 50% spontaneous, so I create a foundation to work with that I come back to once in a while but I don’t fixate on it.

It relates to creating a business and lifestyle from scratch as well as ones person life.

I strongly believe in manifestation but only to an extent! Dreaming is important and writing down your dreams and goals and values works like some sort of magic. You don’t get to dictate exactly how it should be and you need to be aware of what cards you have been handed and work a bit for what you want. All this alongside having an open mind for things to end up a bit differently, as long as it’s rooted in something that feels you.

I enter motherhood at a later age (39) following an old friend from university coming back into my life somewhat suddenly, after years apart. Weirdly, despite my age and despite always loving being around children, I never worried about ticking on without having settled down with someone, at the risk of not having the chance to have my own child. I just continued living my life in what way felt right to me and refused to settle for what didn’t.

Ahead of my 39th birthday, I can honestly say that I have no qualms about getting older. Every age and (almost) every situation you are in has an upside to it when life is really lived head on, optimising whatever you have in front of you at the time! Argan oil helps too 😌♥️

Homemade turmeric & cinnamon latte pimped out with a bit of our argan oil which is mixed in. The cinnamon I used here is gorgeous, straight from an organic plantation in Sri Lanka. Sadly most of the cinnamon you find in the shops is fake! The argan oil as well as contributing positively to the flavour & offering its own unique benefits, aids the absorption of the benefits of the cinnamon & the turmeric.

I love this beautiful quote which I came across earlier this week. It was shared at the funeral of a loved one and was very moving, written by Persian poet Rumi ♥️

The argania spinosa tree is indigenous to Morocco. In fact the trees only grow in a small region of Morocco. Because of the precious health, cosmetic & medical benefits of argan oil, a lot of money has been pumped into research and projects designed to grow argan trees in other counties with similar climates. This has been unsuccessful (without the use of genetic modification) since while the trees do grow, the fruit doesn’t appear!

I’m not Moroccan or Berber, I’m Iraqi. Thankfully the people of Morocco welcomed me with open arms! In business one should obey a certain etiquette in order to not to exploit others in any way. Far too often, exploiting those in far away counties gets ignored in the Western world. If I hadn’t spent time getting to know the community to whom argan oil belongs to and feel as though I could capture the essence of these people as well as truly love and respect them, I would not be selling argan oil.

Saying that. I got into entrepreneurship at a young age because of a naive dream to change the world. I immediately thought that surely the best way to do that is to change the systems & start at the top- conduct business in a different way which meant hiring in a different way, working in a different way & setting a new standard for success that with enough effort & creativity wouldn’t need to cross certain ethical barriers.
