This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cook/chef with a specific passion for sustainable Cypriot / Eastern Mediterranean food. You could be a part of the multi-million pound development of the food scene around Borough market that is already seeing top chefs take up positions in neighbouring locations.
Multi-award winning Gourmet Goat has evolved from street food into a new premise at Borough Market. The food will be a celebration of authentic Cypriot village flavours adapted to fit its urban local environment.
Sustainability will continue to be at its core. We need a chef with solid experience who has the ambition to lead and manage a busy eatery.
Basic day-day cooking involves grill, roasting, lots of eastern med style salad prep, fresh sauces, fermentation and pickling.
Chef requirements are as follows; Will have a creative and forward-thinking approach to great food and be able to work well in a busy environment, you need to be confident and have a real eye for detail. We need someone with a personality that enjoys their work and can encourage and support the whole team to drive for the best guest experience.
Passion for delivering fresh food to high standards. An excellent work ethic and can-do attitude.
In return we will offer the successful Chef:
Meals provided. Opportunities for professional development courses and manager roles within GG. Great working professional atmosphere.
We are looking for both Full time & Part time staff. If you are an experienced Chef that meets the above criteria we would love to hear from you by sending a covering note explaining your suitability for this post and your passion for sustainability (this is pre-requisite for moving on to the next stage of this application) and a FULL CV.
