History Speak is a creative consultancy specialising in contested heritage and decolonising spaces. We uses a participatory and transdisciplinary approach to projects, working with collaborators and clients to develop workshops and activities that are meaningful, engaging and have lasting impact. Join us this Sunday 2 June for The World on the Upper Terrace - a walk and talk with Manasi Pophale of History Speak to discover the untold stories of 24 statues that once stood on the Upper Terrace in Crystal Palace Park.
These lost statues represented βthe most important commercial and manufacturing countries of the world and the chief industrial cities of England and France.β Now they offer a fascinating insight into a world view from 170 years ago, when the Crystal Palace opened in Sydenham on 10th June 1854.
