WEEKLY ECO UPDATE
THE LATEST FROM OUR CHILDREN'S ECO COMMITTEE
Water is so important - a dripping tap can waste more than 60 litres of water a week. That’s the same as 39 bathtubs a year! We talked about ways of saving water. Children were given blue tap sashes to wear (made of repurposed curtains) and a checklist. They went round the nursery checking for dripping taps and reported back what they had found to the CEO and Deputy CEO. The Water Monitors are now checking regularly in the nursery for drips and leaks.
Quaggy are working towards the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. It's a way for us to change our local environment and the world. We have several steps to achieve so watch out for our achievements. We have already started a children's Eco Committee. We want to make the world more environmentally friendly and our children are leading the way.

You can still ask your GP surgery for the MMR vaccine if your child has missed either of these 2 doses.
If you know your child is due for a vaccination, it's best to speak to your GP surgery to book the appointment. You do not need to wait to hear from them.

We are observing Holocaust Memorial Day today. A time to remember that the Holocaust threatened the fabric of civilisation, and genocide must still be resisted every day. Our world often feels fragile and vulnerable and we cannot be complacent. Together we bear witness for those who endured genocide, and honour the survivors and all those whose lives were changed beyond recognition.
