We meet amazing therapists here at Restore Therapy. Well done Claire Grant this work is so beneficial.
I can't tell you how excited I was to receive this today.😍
From an idea a good few years ago now, to setting up my CIC, to securing my first lot of funding for Folkestone, to receiving National Lottery funding, to completing the first Dover Project a few weeks ago. Wow! It's been a blur, huge highs, frustrating lows but the feedback and conversations with the women who have been involved is absolutely priceless. 💖
Thanks to those who have supported me to get this far, it really does mean everything to me. 🥰
The next Folkestone project will be coming very soon.

Thanks to Susannah Cogger from for helping facilitate and being wonderful company!
Another great result with a single scar therapy treatment in the FREE clinics we offer as part of our therapy training courses.
This client had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery in April. She was treated by the students completing the Scar Therapy Practitioner course here in Kendall, Lake District. During the 90 minutes appointment, the therapists used a combination of scar massage and cupping to generate a fantastic improvements to both wrists within this single appointment.
In addition to limited movement, this client was experiencing a sensation of tremor and a feeling of cramping in her little finger on the left side. The sensation was no longer present after the session.
The Scar Therapy Practitioner is a fantastic course for anybody working with hand trauma and functional limitations (and any other scar from injury or surgery).

Emma’s story
Emma Holly has one of the UK’s leading ScarWork clinics and now offers training to physiotherapists and other physical bodywork professionals, in this specialised gentle but effective therapy for scar tissue and adhesions.
As skin is healing after an operation or accident, different layers under the skin get stuck together as the body works to close and heal the wound. ScarWork helps gently release these stuck layers to allow better function and movement in the scar tissue and surrounding fascial tissue, muscles and ligaments.
Originator of these unique technique to improve scars from surgery or accidents is Sharon Wheeler, a therapist from Seattle USA. ScarWork has been developed over many years, to improve the condition and integration of scar tissue and promote healing. You may not have heard of it as only been established in the UK for a short time, so only a few therapists are offering these specialised scar treatments.
Emma was highly commended complementary therapist of the year by one of the UK’s largest therapy associations FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) and has had continued coverage in national and local press and professional journals for her business.
