Sempai Jack proudly awards Ella our ‘SAMURAI AWARD’ for her continued bravery in the face of adversity today. Ella has been a student of for many years and we have watched as she’s bloomed into a true samurai!

Sensei said “Ella has continued to knock down barriers and has never let a label define her. No matter how difficult things can be at times, she always and I mean always, arrives with a smile on her face & is a true example of what a samurai is - facing every challenge with bravery! We couldn’t be prouder of Ella! We wish her all the best and hope she has a speedy recovery. See you in the dojo soon Ella!”

Sensei shares his knowledge & passion for karate with whilst commentating on the WKF Karate1 Premiere League Antalya 2024 BRONZE matches today.

From being a fierce competitor, to a formidable & passionate coach, Sensei Raphael has always dedicated his entirety to karate. Today is yet another opportunity to witness those seeds, which were planted a long time ago in Brazil, grow & be fruitful!

Everyone at is incredibly proud of you Sensei & of everything that you do for karate.

Congratulations to the students who were awarded their next belt at today’s general grading. Each student displayed a great deal of determination & dedication, not just during the grading itself, but also in the lead up to it.

Sensei who travelled from Luxembourg to head the grading, couldn’t of been prouder of the students - “It is with great pride that I got to award our students their next grade alongside sensei and Sempai Each of the students performed amazingly! Thank you to the parents for their continued support & trust. Our instructors have worked tirelessly in preparing the students for today, a big thank you to sensei Annie, sensei and Sempai Jack. Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age, but most certainly through experiences. Age & wisdom should never be confused… Veras Academy LDN always encourage wisdom to develop through pivotal moments, especially with our young members.

Sempai Jack, one of Veras Academy’s most experienced members takes pride in sharing his extraordinary knowledge with our students, helping develop their skill set; getting them ready for their upcoming grading.

Congratulations to Veras Academy’s Vadim Druita for his 🥉 and sensei Annie Finnigan for her 🥈 at the EKF children’s, KYU grades & veterans competition on Sunday 4th February.

Sensei Annie and Vadim travelled to Sheffield to attend one of England’s most prestigious national competitions and both were triumphant after some tough matches. Well done to you both!

Towards the end of each month, it is always difficult to choose which of our students deserve to be awarded student of the month. We look for not just diligence in our students, but also perseverance, patience and commitment.

9th Central England International Open 2023

Congratulations to Veras Academy’s George Gentili-Walsh and Vadim Druta who both secured a bronze medal 🥉 each for their respective categories while competing in Worcestershire today. George represented in the para standing kata, while Vadim fought his way to triumph in the 12-13yrs -55kg Kumite category.

Sensei Raphael said “to see two of our young competitors back on the tatami makes me exceptionally proud - they’ve worked hard to prepare themselves for today’s competition but without the help of our senseis and Sempai’s, it wouldn’t be possible. Thank you to sensei Marco and to our coaches who did a fantastic job today”

At we take the safeguarding of our members seriously and as such, always ensure that we do everything we can to protect our students.

We are proud to announce that for another year, Veras Academy has been awarded the multi-club safeguarding code award in martial arts.
