Fineliner work in progress...🖋
🌟Progression 🌟
Slowly chipping away at this pencil and fineliner piece, loving the vibrancey of the Polychromos 🥳🌈✏
🎨🌟Art for Mental Health 🌟🎨
Today I started a 12 week programme that uses art and creativity as a tool for bettering my mental health.
Todays session was all about easing into the environment and just getting a sense of what it is I wanted to achieve personally in the coming weeks. There was no real outcome to achieve today other than just going for it and seeing what happened.
The session consisted of a simple mark making task using acrylic paint and random objects.
This task was a great way to let loose, let go of any pre determined ideas and possibilities of outcomes and just seeing the marks evolve and develop, focusing on the journey of each mark.
For me, this task allowed me to focus on letting go of any self imposed constraints and knocking down barriers that might be standing in the way. I am a bit of a perfectionist who loves intricate detail in fineliners, and using paint is vastly different and less precise.
Its hard to start being creative sometimes as you worry so much about the end goal before you've begum and that can stop you from starting, and trying new things that are out of your comfort zone is so anxiety inducing!
Just jumping in and going for it is the best way to freeing yourself of any negativity.
I love art, it is my outlet and I would be lost without it. I loved the expression in todays mark making, it was perfect for all the built up extra energy and busy ness in my head!
Anyone can do this. I totally recommend art for mental health, grab some paint, paper and random stuff and just go for it. Im sure yourl be surprised at what you create ❤❤

🌟Work in progress🌟
Not sure what direction this piece is heading in, I've no clear plan to what I want to achieve, I am simply loving the process and seeing where it takes me! 🖌🎨🖼
So almost a year ago I was diagnosed with ADHD, at the age of 28.
Being diagnosed so late in life has literally made my entire life finally make sense.
Its been an odd year of realisations and learning to be kinder to myself, but every day I am getting there and learning to love all parts of who I am.
I thought I would do a representation of what ADHD means to me.. and in good ol' ADHD fashion.. its half complete 🤣.
But im learning that having a 10000000 art projects on in one go is fine, dipping into new projects here and there means that moment of hyperfocus is utilised efficiently and I can give my best to them all every time at different times, it keeps me excited and passionate about art, its the way that I work and the way I work best. ❤🎨🖌
Hand drawn fineliner and polychromos 🌟
Not often I play with acrylics. But I've had the overwhelming urge to do so recently. I love the unrefined marks and fluidity of the paint as I threw it on the canvas, im loving the freedom of expressing with paint instead of the precise controlled mark making when I use watercolour and fineliners.
Heres my work in progress from yesterday. 🖌🎨
My 'ive been up since 3am' photo. 😴
Got woken up at 3am, & couldn't get back to sleep.
Tea ☕ , Art 🖌, Flowers 💐 and Peacefulness 🧘♀️.
Happy Earth day,
Mother Nature 🌿
Good Morning 🌿🌞
Random sketchbook doodles, a great way to wake up and get thinking for the day ahead. Im always skeptical about posting these as they are so unrefined, messy and unfinished. But.. im learning to enjoy the process and let go of the anxiety. The entire journey counts not just the final goal, it is all art. These stages are important to pave the way for final pieces.
Embrace the day, surround yourself with positivity.
The world can be a beautiful place.
Its almost the weekend! Wahoo, enjoy the sunshine. 🌟

Good evening! 😊
I am excited to say this piece is complete, and shall be heading to its new home this week.
I absolutely loved making this piece, I lost count how many hours it took, it was so easy to get lost in the detail ❤
Hand drawn using fineliners, 30cm x 40cm (not including frame).
(I must get better photos, diminishing daylight and the fact id already framed it hasn't made it easy to get a good snap 😅 oops!)
For any questions or queries please feel free to contact me via messenger, id love to hear from you!
Thank you. 🥰
30 minutes of floral in my little sketchbook 😊
My heads spinning like a carousel. Fineline dotwork and watercolour 😊
🖊✍I believe I am coming up to almost 12 hours on this hand drawn ink pen piece, its a very rough time estimate, I always forget to track how much time I put into my work its easy to get carried away and lost within the detail.
Still a long way to go until completion.
💭What do you all think of it so far? Let me know in the comment's!
💭Title suggestions?
Thank you for taking the time to view my work, I am very greatful. 😊
Be happy, keep smiling ✌
Throw back to an older piece, it reminds me of recent days walking along the canal paths and being surrounded by the feelings of this time of year, leaves floating through the skies as they're let go by the trees they once grew upon and the peacefulness of the canal water blanketed by autumnal and wintery colours. 🍂
New beginning. Seeing where the pen takes me, its so nice having my work set up in an accessible space so I can just chip away at it whenever I have a spare 5 minutes when I'm at home. Im so greatful that ive finally got a space I can happily use, comfortably.
And i find that I am more inclined to focus and achieve more in short sporadic time frames, so having my work on display prompts me to keep my art at the forefront of my mind. It works for me. And im happy.
😊
I'm back! And I feel very autumnal. This time of year is always inspiring. 🍂
2020 has been an absolute wreck of a year, and because of that it has sadly been months since I have managed to pause and create any art. Art is such an important part of who I am and how I deal with life and ive never been more aware of this notion then what I am today. This year has no doubtedly been the hardest one yet, so much has happened and so much has changed. Not having the opportunities to express myself through art throughout these times has had such a dampning impact on my mental well being.
I was always aware of arts therapeutic ability within me, art always makes me calm, it makes me feel at peace, it makes me aware and happy and when I cannot do it my mental health suffers.
Unfortunately so much time has flown by but A new way of living and a new frame of mind is on the horizon. A time for growth and achievement. I'm now recognising the amount of positive moments and experiences at the present are increasing and suddenly everything surrounding me has shifted and falling into place, positivity is encapsulating me and I feel the calm rolling back in.
Time is settling, and I'm happy. 😊
Another progression shot.😊 Slow and steady with this pointillism piece. What do you all think so far? Who else here enjoys creating dotwork art?
Head on over to my instagram and give me a follow, I will be uploading different content to what is on my page 😊

Letting my thoughts of the day dissipate into the pages of my sketch book. These quick little fineline sketches really help my mental state, they allow me to relax and unwind, there is something so about making art.❤️
Another day another dot.
Such a theraputic and addictive process. I simply love how each small entity has its own place, each dot has its own purpose.
A mass of individuals coming together to create a community.

Just starting to add the detail into my new piece, ive decided to stipple the entire thing.. Dot dot dot dot ✏️
Sneak preview of what I am currently working on.. ✏️🎨
Excited to see this piece progress.
What do you think? 😊
Go crazy. Old piece of work I stumbled upon when sorting though my portfolio.
Ink, watercolours, gel pens, biro, whatever I had in my pencil case. ✏️
Black ink doodle.

Watercolour & Ink.
'Dreamscape'
Fantasy does not equate to a lack of reality. Dream exploration; an intangible concept that awaits us when we let our minds rest. The juxtaposition of reality and fantasy and the balance between what we perceive to be our reality and our dream state.
