Ever wondered what an eardrum looks like?
The eardrum is an opaque structure and works similarly to a loudspeaker. It contracts and relaxes or bounces when the sound is transferred to the middle ear. If you have had a cold you can get fluid build-up behind the eardrum which makes this transfer of sound harder.
If this happens, steam inhalation or using a nasal spray can help.
