Amaze are a destination management company that provides logistical support to professional sports teams and their entourage.
As part of the Destination Sport Group, Amaze was established by uniting some of Europe's top sports event logistics experts. Sporting events come with numerous challenges, but their extensive industry expertise enables them to seamlessly handle every facet of the journey. Amaze manages all off-field logistics, empowering the teams and their management to focus entirely on your on-field success.
WCBP was approached by Amaze to help create a new presence starting with naming and positioning for the newly formed company. WCBP then designed a visual identity, including logotype, logo animation, typography, colour palette, graphic language and composition.
"The design teamโs challenge was to create a memorable identity that needed to be dynamic and appeal to a sporting audience across most of Europe, whilst not appearing to be sports club specific." Lee Whittingham, WCBP Creative Director commented.

Destination Sport emerged with the aim to dominate the sports travel sector, and its ambition didn't stop at the top level โDestination Sport Groupโ. Under its umbrella, it introduced subdivisions like Destination Sport Experiences and Destination Sport Travel.
The mission was to create a top-level brand design for Destination Sport, which would, in turn, lay the groundwork for some of its subdivisions. Wilson Cooke played a pivotal role in this vision, creating a compelling brand narrative, ensuring visual consistency across all entities, and amplifying the digital presence through a strategically designed website and a finely tuned social media approach.
The new brand monogram, crafted from the 'D' of "Destination Sport" and paired with motion lines, symbolises athleticism, progression, and forward momentum. Which leads into the new brand motto 'taking you further'. This serves as a visual shorthand, capturing everything Destination Sport represents. Together with the bold monospaced typeface, it ensures a clear brand presence across platforms.
Visually, Destination Sport embraced a monochromatic palette of black, grey, and white, imbuing the brand with sophistication and clarity. Such schemes evoke strong emotions and provide a timeless feel. Highlight colours for the subdivisions, bright orange for Destination Sport Experiences and deep purple for Destination Sport Travel, were used minimally, offering subtle distinctions without overwhelming the primary palette.
Wilson Cooke provided an all-encompassing branding solution for Destination Sport. We formulated brand guidelines, crafted business materials, and designed a website concept that perfectly captured the brand's ethos. Additionally, we curated a cohesive social media aesthetic and developed impactful presentation designs, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.

Striking images of athletes were incorporated throughout, adding depth and evoking the raw emotion and passion of sports. Customer insight, brand strategy, and visual identity were pivotal aspects of the transformation for one of the UK's prominent gas and equipment suppliers.
When Energas and Engweld, two distinct entities within the Air Liquide Group, sought to merge and present a unified front in the gas industry, they turned to WCBP for guidance.
Nicole Whittingham, Brand and Performance Director at WCBP, shared insights into the initial stages of the project. "Our starting point in this project was to determine whether we should retain the existing names or explore new ones. To make an informed decision, we conducted an extensive customer insight study to gauge the reputation of the current names within the sector and assess the potential impact of introducing new names. We were particularly concerned about the possibility of disruption."
As the research unfolded, it became evident that the Energas brand held a significant and respected presence. Nicole further explained, "Energas had a strong and storied history in the industry, which made it clear that retaining this brand name was the best course of action. Our goal then became integrating Engweld under the Energas banner."
Collaborating closely with the leadership teams at Energas and Engweld, WCBP delved into the core values that defined their brand. This exploration resulted in the development of a new brand strategy, key messaging, and a fresh visual identity.
Nicole highlighted a crucial element of the rebranding effort, stating, "People and exceptional customer service were evidently at the heart of the Energas brand. Therefore, a significant aspect of our new visual identity was to spotlight these individuals. While retaining the existing brand mark, we enveloped it with a new brand image and comprehensive brand guidelines."
