The Myriad Foundation humbly requests your support in these blessed last days of Ramadan for Phase 2 of the 𝐌𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐮𝐛 building in Manchester.

The scheduled work will include rewiring, repiping and all aspects of finishing and furnishing. The estimated cost for this is £140k and we are short by £80k

Myriad Foundation's Unveiling Islam team were out at Hazel Grove High School over the last 2 weeks

Our team delivered 10 separate lessons on the basic tenets of Islam to all of year 7 (approx 300 children.)

The Myriad Foundation's 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 were recently called in to present our work and Journey so far to HMRC.

The team used one of our ground breaking national initiatives 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 as a case study

HMRC have started the Manchester Regional Centre Charity committe and were interested in ways that they could help our projects through volunteering, fundraising and donations.

Myriad Foundation's weekly foodbank and drop pff service is still going strong this Ramadan, serving those most in need around Manchester

Over 1400 years ago, when a child was born, the Prophet ‎ﷺ made it his Sunnah (practice) to take a small part of a date and place it in the newborn's mouth. He would chew it until it was soft and then rub it onto the palate of the baby. This is called Taḥnīk.

'Today', BBC News has reported that experts have said: "A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage."

This is why Muslims follow the Sunnah of Rasūlullāh ﷺ without questioning it. Science is only now discovering a tradition that was introduced 1400 years ago because Islām was and still is the forefront of development.

Taste Ramadan volunteers will be present on the day exhibiting the Taste Ramadan poster exhibition set and a stall for Taste Ramadan gift bags for non Muslim guests.

Our Soup n Smiles project was one of the best services that we have done in a long while, for at least three reasons tonight. In ascending order of impact:

1. Our visitors today were made to feel really welcome, and were very invested in the work that they were doing. Thank you all for making them feel so welcome today. You all have done this service so proud with your hospitality,

2. In a rare win, we were able to get a girl a place to stay tonight through a referral. Arguably this was the easier bit, since all we needed to hear was make a phone call, and let the system do the rest. Because the most impactful thing was...

3. This girl was a recently released from prison following a decade of substance dependance, and a very recent personal tragedy. Wanting to turn her life around she came to us in need of supplies and shelter, and as mentioned earlier we were able to provide her with both.

What one of our volunteers did truly encapsulated the spirit of this service. The care, consideration and conscientiousness to not only identify the person in dire need of help, but also the emotional support she offered to someone that truly wanted to get their life back on track. We don't always get lucky with accommodation and the council, and even still it tends to be a temporary plaster in some cases, but offering that sort of support to our service users is something we have in abundance, and I think today Janet's actions will give this lady the strength to fight her fight.

After a couple of quite challenging Wednesday services with more sad tales than happy ones, we can really appreciate when we get a great service like today. I am truly blessed to be working in such an amazing group
