My Story
I am passionate about promoting Women in Engineering and I have been involved with many Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) events hosted by the University of Salford, STEM Women’s Community and Network SHE. I was recently selected as one of the 20 Women to be profiled in an exhibition for the Women’s Engineering Society’s (WES) Centenary Celebration.
I have completed a successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Technocover and The University of Salford. I lead this two-year project with its primary aim to improve the design process of security products whilst continuing my own professional development.
I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Salford and I am currently undergoing my MSc in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. I achieved a 1st class honours degree and two prizes from the Royal Aeronautical Society; The Manchester Branch project prize and the RAeS University prize. The Manchester branch project prize was for the best final year project from the University of Salford and the RAeS University prize was for the best aeronautical engineering graduate of the academic year. In 2014, I was one of the top 18 finalist’s in the country for the ‘Female undergraduate of the year Award’ run by Target Jobs and sponsored Rolls Royce.
