Head Girl at Netherhall School for the 22-23 academic year! 👩🏼🏫
New Head Boy and Head Girl for Netherhall School
Netherhall School has elected a new Head Boy and Head Girl for the academic year 2022-23. Following a vote amongst their peers and a formal interview with Mr Bailey, Deputy Headteacher and Mr Pattinson, Head of Sixth Form, I am delighted to inform you that Ellie Rowley has been elected Head Girl, and Ben Lambert Head Boy.
Ellie is studying A levels in English language, IT and sport. A talented singer, dancer and performer, Ellie is also a key member of the Maryport Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society. In the future she hopes to combine her academic skill with her theatrical talent by studying for a degree in musical theatre at university.
An outstanding artist, Ben is studying A levels in art, photography and IT. He was the winner of this year’s academic prize for art at Netherhall School, and hopes in the future to further develop his creative talents by studying for a degree in fine art or graphic design.
Since joining the sixth form, both Ben and Ellie have already made a huge contribution to the school through their inspirational work with younger students in the paired reading programme, and as members of the School Council.
The strength of the field in the election of this year’s Head Boy and Head Girl was remarkable. I would like to congratulate Saffron Maxwell in her appointment to the post of Deputy Head Girl, and Rhys Tyson in his appointment as Deputy Head Boy. Saffron is studying A levels in maths, chemistry and photography and hopes to pursue a career in engineering. Rhys is studying A levels in biology, geography and sport. He would like to progress from sixth form to work in sports media. All four students are a credit to themselves, their families and to Netherhall School. They will provide a great example and source of inspiration to their peers and to the younger students. I would like to thank outgoing Head Girl Millie Routledge and Head Boy Ciaran Laverty who, with the support of deputies Eliska Belejova and Joseph Green have given outstanding service to the school over the past year. They have set exceptionally high standards for the incoming team.
Mr C Pattinson.
Assistant Headteacher / Head of Sixth Form.
