🚨 Due to public demand - The Share Issue has been extended!

After a number of requests to purchase shares after the 31st December deadline, the Management Committee have agreed to extend the share sale offer to align with the outcome of the Community Ownership Fund application.

The Ulgham CBS Steering committee are very pleased to announce that the Share Issue (2023) is now closed and the final total is £105,000 with 245 members.

What a fantastic start and thank you to all our shareholders who have contributed to the scheme. Communication to the members will follow shortly by email.

The Steering committee can now start work on the next stage of the project to purchase and refurbish the Forge at Ulgham. Watch this space for more information.

🏠 Study unveils the impact of pubs on house prices 🏠

Pubs have an impact on UK house prices, research led by an academic at Northumbria University, Newcastle, has found.

Ignazio Cabras, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Regional Economic Development and Head of Accounting and Financial Management at Northumbria’s Newcastle Business School, looked at the level of house prices in the presence or absence of pubs across the country.
