Well it’s been a minute!

Work and life has definitely took over this first half of the year and my batteries have been running low 🪫

So I’ve tapped back into my creative brain and it has really helped me relax and focus 🧘‍♀️

I want to start doing more art and get back to what I love doing 😍

One of my new resolutions is to not worry as much to what people think so this page is going to be about my creative outlay. It’s not going to be perfect, in order or necessarily make any sense but it will be me and that’s what social media is suppose to be about right? 🤷‍♀️

Homemade wreath 🎄

As you can probably tell I’ve not been doing much on the side of my creative side. Life has been busy and I just haven’t been able to fit it in. 2023 has had a lot of ups and downs so balancing everything hasn’t been easy at times.

BUT I’m so happy I managed to make myself this wreath as I said to myself I wanted to make at least on Christmas decoration ❤️

I may not of hit all my goals I wanted to in terms of this page but 2024 will be a new year and new goals will be set.

It’s unrealistic to think I can run this business full time as well as run a business with Simon and try and keep a work life balance with two kids 😬

I’ll still post my creations on here as no matter what I do I still need to be creative in some aspect. My Etsy shop will still be open so things may pop up there every now and again 🥰

I find this ironic as I haven’t carved a real pumpkin this year 🤷‍♀️

So here's me again saying I've been quiet 🤫

It's been a very busy few weeks with the school holidays and trying to balance work and family life, its not easy is it?????

But here is a little glimpse of something I've been working on. It is not for this business but rather one my husband is setting up, he's been working so hard the last 6/7 months so it was the least I could do for him. He's had to be away from the kids, worked weekends, late nights, even longer days but its all going to be worth it. Seeing it all coming together makes it all so real and proves it will all be worth it. Even though this is the start and will get busier from here on in, I know it will all be worth it for creating the life we want for us and our family 🥰👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Anyway long story short, here's a sneak preview of the logo I created for him 💙💛

Maybe putting a photo of the nice beach weather will make the August weather better??? I live in hope 😂

No matter the weather I hope everyone has a good month, ours is filled with lots of plans so it’s going to be a busy one, personally and business wise 🦉

I’ve been pretty much a walking zombie all week due to school Illnesses 😷

Simon was away for work so it was just me and the kids and I was out of action so it was very much survival mode with a softplay trip to get some energy out of Connie thrown in 🙈

I felt loads better today and was the first day I didn’t feel lethargic so with Simon back we managed to tidy a little and as a little evening treat we have put the sofa bed out and done a little movie night downstairs.

Complete with a new Bluey book each of course to celebrate the new series coming out this week….sad? I don’t think so 😂

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I’m off to prepare what I’m going to do in the six weeks holidays which starts next week..but that’s a different story 🙈🙈

I know I know I'm showing you products from Easter and Father's day but here me out....

With the cost of the living at its highest we already know things are not getting cheaper so something I have always done is got seasonal items after it has already happened. So at Christmas I will always get some decorations, gifts etc in the Christmas sales. That way I can store them for a year and I got them really cheap. I do this for most things and it saves so much money in the long run.

Schools are slowly starting to break up for the summer so now is the perfect time to get some last minute printable's to add to your gifts.

I can't believe its nearly the summer holidays! I need to start thinking of ideas to keep them busy 🙈

I've decided to have a switch up of my logo. My old one was ok but I wanted something a bit more streamlined and professional. I feel this one works well, its shows me as the hardworking individual at the heart of the business. The colours represent my two little ones as without them I wouldn't have the courage to strive for more. Then finally the white background and black lines represent me and my husband, the skeleton of everything, we hold each other up and without our partnership none of this would be possible.

When you have a “poorly” child but you still have some work to do 😳

Harry was sick once and then has been fine since but obviously still means he had to stay off school for 48hrs, which means lots of crafts and games to save him (and me) losing my mind 🤯

So this morning he wanted to paint a money bank and I’m designing some personal cards for some parties coming up and getting more products on Etsy.

My end of year teacher collection is now live! With the end of the school year fast approaching I don't think I will get many more pintable's done but I love how these ones turned out and will definitely be using them myself in the next few weeks 🙈

A lot has happened the last few days so I haven't shared as much as I would like but I thought I'd share a personal card I made over the weekend. The picture was taken Saturday and the card was made Sunday morning, now that's a quick turnaround 🙈 It turned out great and super proud of how it looks 🥰

Well I kept a random piece of fake turf and one leftover patio slab. I decided to make it into a fairy garden and the kids loved it!

What things have people made out of “junk”?

I did a little artwork for the bathroom when I felt there was a missing space and nothing to put there.

I’m not a fine art sort of artist and love the freedom of art. I really enjoyed doing it and wondering whether it is something people are interested in? I’m thinking they could go on cards, be printables or start making them or start selling print version of them? What do you reckon?
