We were so pleased to have a visit from our friend Richard who entertained us with his incredible piano skills again this week - we all enjoyed singing and dancing along to some classic tunes!

Our residents and staff have been treated to entertainment all day, as well as a gorgeous lunch!

Thanks so much to everyone for making the Olympic-themed day so special, with an extra special nod to our kitchen team for the amazing food and to our musicians, Nick and Richard, who have kept us singing along and our feet tapping all day! 🎤🤗

Our activities team are busy with final preparations for this year's summer party! All are welcome to come and join us tomorrow here at Falkland Grange Care Home, Newbury, 12pm - 2pm.

We were so pleased to have received a visit from Niamh last Friday, who undertook individual health and wellbeing checks with many of our staff.

The lovely Niamh is a talented member of the Solutions 4 Health team who provides support to many including key workers in care homes. Thank you so much for your warmth and support, Niamh! 🌟

We've had such a fun day here today hosting our inaugural dog show! The event was very well attended by our residents, loved ones, families and of course, lots of lovely doggies!

A big thank you to everyone who attended and took part in such a fun afternoon! We would like to say a special THANK YOU to our wonderful judge Laura Addison from West Country Dog Training! 🐶

In celebration of next week, we are inviting the children of our residents, staff and visitors to send in their best pieces of artwork! These can be anything from drawings to colourings... we look forward to seeing all your magnificent masterpieces!

We were thrilled to have another visit from Rock Choir West Berkshire • Choirs led by Chloe Payne this week, our residents and staff were overjoyed that they got to hear their incredible singing again!

'Sweet Child of Mine' and 'Somewhere Only We Know' went down especially well with many of us singing along... Thank you so much for coming back to visit again. 🎼😆

This fortnight we are really enjoying all things Wimbledon!

Our residents, visitors and staff have enjoyed many of this year's matches in our cinema and on our iPad. We have also been treating ourselves to a glass of Pimm's and a slice (or two!) from stunning tennis-themed cakes, prepared by our talented Head Chef Chris for our Wimbledon-themed Open Afternoon.

Today we welcomed our friends Juliette, Elizabeth and Janene from carehome.co.uk into our wonderful home! Carehome.co.uk is a website that provides a valuable online and phone service to care-seeking families, and they are based locally in Hungerford.

After sharing a coffee and catching up the team took a detailed look around our home to see for themselves the care we provide to our lovely residents.
