What a truly brilliant regional sports day we had today where we welcomed other homes from across the region... there were lots of cheers and laughter and of course some healthy competition going on
A Huge well done to Trymview Hall care home and Millers Grange Care Home who came 1st and 2nd and will be going on to represent our region in the finals in July.

Yesterday was World Music Therapy Day, and we had a fantastic time celebrating! We enjoyed lots of fun and wonderful music, and we ended the day outside in the garden, enjoying the beauty of summer and singing along. 🎶🌸

Had a delightful afternoon at Yattendon Farm yesterday, thanks to Lady Illife for inviting us! 🌷✨ We enjoyed lovely garden walks and a delightful afternoon tea with delicious fruit cake. Such a beautiful time! Thank you again for your generosity and hospitality! 💐💐😍

Margaret's wish was to go to Woburn Abbey Safari Park and see the elephants. It was an amazing day out and enjoyed by all, even the weather held out while we were there and we're lucky enough to see some of the other residents of the park.🥰🐘🦬🦒🦌

We were thrilled to fulfill a special wish for Kathleen, who used to frequent the Hatchet Inn pub with her friends. Our amazing lifestyle team took Kath and her friend Eddie to the pub, where she enjoyed a alcohol free pint of Guinness and shared some fantastic laughs! 😍😍😎🥳

Seeing the joy on Kath's face as she reminisced about old times and created new memories was truly heartwarming. Moments like these remind us of the importance of cherishing the past while embracing the present with open arms.

What a fantastic day we had for D-Day celebrations at Winchcombe Place!

Our street party was a roaring success, thanks to Nigel from Browns Classics for bringing his incredible wartime jeep. It truly set the scene and brought history to life!

A huge thank you also goes to the talented Charmaine Bushnell who wowed us all with her amazing voice. Her performance was simply unforgettable.

A big thank you to the Newbury Photography Group for capturing some truly special moments. We are sure your photos will help us remember this amazing day for years to come!

To all our team members, thank you for your dedication to make this day special for everyone. A special shout-out to Katy and the lifestyles team whose excellent organisation made the day run smoothly and ensured a great time was had by all. 🎉

Today, we celebrated by immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature! 🌺🌿 We took peaceful garden walks, got creative with crafting using flowers and leaves, and made a difference by picking up litter to protect our environment. 🌼💚 Let's continue to cherish and protect our planet every day! 🌎💚 🌿🌺

🎉🧀 We celebrated National Cheese Day in style by indulging in a delightful array of cheeses. From creamy French Camembert to tangy feta cheese, bold blue Stilton, mature cathedral cheddar, sweet Wensleydale with cranberries, and more, we explored a world of flavors together. 🤤🧀Laughter, cheese, and good company made it a truly beautiful day for everyone at Winchcombe Place! ☺️🎊🎉 🧀🥳🎉

We had fun today making trinket plates and other clay designs and can't wait for them to dry so we can paint them, watch this space.
It was great seeing the ladies not worried about getting their hand dirty.

We were 'Tickled Pink' this morning with our activity 💕 as we were up singing and dancing before lunch and working up an appetite. It was great to see everyone joining in and have a great time. Fun was had by all.

Our residents put their skills to work and made some adorable scarecrows to add a touch of charm to our beautiful gardens. 🌾👩‍🌾 Not only that, but we had a special visit from Hannah and her delightful furry friends - 6 cute guinea piggies! 🐹💕 What a joy it was to have these little fluffballs spreading smiles and warmth around our home. 😊🌟

🎉🧁🍰 Exciting News at Winchcombe Place! 🍰🧁🎉 We would like to introduce the newest addition to Winchcombe Place - our very own Baking Club! 🥳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 Today, we kicked things off with some delicious vanilla cupcakes, and what a fantastic start it was! Everyone had a wonderful time stirring in Vanilla Syrup and reminiscing as we baked together. It was such an amazing morning filled with joy, laughter, and of course, plenty of sweet treats. 🥰👩‍🍳

🌟👏😇Today, our dear resident Jacqueline had a special wish for a KFC lunch, and we were more than happy to make it happen! 🍗 She enjoyed her meal with our lifestyle team, sharing stories and reminiscing about the past. It was a heartfelt moment as Jacqueline shared how she always had KFC when visiting her husband in the hospital.
