Afternoon. As you may be aware, we are intending to screen the Eurovision Song Contest final tomorrow evening in the taproom. Like any of our events, and our ethos as a company being inclusive, welcoming and having an absolute zero tolerance to any kind of prejudice, discrimination or violence, we only ever intend to host things that would allow us to uphold these values.
We didn’t go into this blindly, unaware or ignorant of the abhorrent violence and dire humanitarian situation happening in Palestine.
Our intentions, alike with anything we do, was to hold a free event for the community, welcome to all.
We actively want to do something that will help the situation, in any small way that we can, expressing our support & solidarity with the people of Palestine.

For all of tomorrow (Saturday 11th May) £1 from EVERY pint sold will be donated directly to ‘The Children of Gaza Crisis Appeal’ (we will be absolutely transparent with this and post our takings at the end of the day)
We will have a general collection box alongside our contribution, and we encourage anyone visiting to spare anything they can.
We will be holding a raffle for cases of beer etc (raffle tickets available at the bar for £1 on Saturday, ALL proceeds going directly to the named charity above)

We won’t be screening Israel’s performance on the show, during that time we will be switching off broadcasting of the event.

What to expect;
• A fun afternoon for you and your best mate to socialise with other pups and their humans, in a safe and (relatively) controlled environment at the taproom 🐶 co-hosted with the amazing crew Jess Fox & Hound 🐾

• Street food vendor for the humans - were buzzing to announce for our April instalment, we have the utterly incredible Parm-O-Rama back at the taproom!! 😍🤤🍗🧀🌶️ (menu just added in story 👏🏻)

• Natural treat & toy stall from JF&H to purchase some supplies 🦴🍖🧸 - if you don’t already know the exciting news, their permanent new residence is coming soon to Heaton, the first low/no waste, environmentally conscious dog grocer of its kind to the area. We absolutely can’t wait 🤩

• Party games & comps for the pups!! New ones & returning favs including;
- Musical Sit (a social fav) 🐶
- Ball pool ‘go find it!’ 🔎🦴👃
- Agility course 🤸‍♂️🥇

• The incredible Jo Hall Pet Behaviour - Newcastle based pet behaviourist and vet nurse on hand to help us monitor things 😅 and answer any Qs you might have regarding training and general behaviours 🐶💜

It’s set to be a great afternoon once again 😁 so that we can all relax and have fun, we just ask that you’re respectful of others and their space and please keep your dogs on lead inside the taproom 🙂
