Please be aware Derngate in Northampton will be closed to traffic from 9am-5pm this Sunday while the road is resurfaced. It will close again on Sunday 1 September for the works to be completed.

These improvement works have been planned for some time but have been brought forward slightly, as West Northants prepares to host the Men’s Tour of Britain race on Saturday 7 September.

From 1 October, all bird keepers who keep their poultry outdoors, regardless of the size of their flock, must register their birds.

Our Trading Standards Team urges everyone who keeps poultry or captive birds to register with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA).

Therefore, the council tax, business rates and housing benefit systems will be temporarily unavailable from 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟯 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟱 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿.

During the upgrade, the customer portal and online forms will be disabled. You can still be able to make Council Tax and Business Rates payments as usual.

We had more stalls and activities than ever before and it was such a successful event despite a couple of downpours of rain.

Special thanks to the Rapid Relief Team for providing free burgers and drinks again this year. Fire crews put on fantastic demonstrations during the day.
