The Plant Barn at Heart of the Shires

Whilst we couldn’t open our doors for the event at Heart of the Shires Shopping Village, during the week, we were still able to put on a display.

Soon this will be a brand new walk-through to visit both The Plant Barn (on the left) and the new retailers (on the right). From this view it’s looking south. We wonder if this area needs a name?

This is the next stage to be completed with the floor/ground to be worked on.

The brand new units opposite us now have brand new windows. What a transformation they make.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new neighbours, we wonder who they will be.

Lots of people at the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village Meet the Animals event today.

We have a very special guest appearing at our Meet The Animals event, today, we kid you not. It’s Skippy!

Back in early June, Skippy our hand-reared Pygmy Goat was stolen from her field. Everyone was distraught. Thanks to a huge response on social media, the local press and lots and lots of people never giving up on her (despite some really nasty comments from some really nasty people) we had a call in early August to say Skippy had been found!!!

Skip, hip, hooray!!!

Skippy, whilst a little plumper, was remarkably happy after such an ordeal. We have yet to piece together all the details but are really pleased and thankful for all those involved in Skippy’s safe return. Skippy was incredibly pleased to see us too.

So if you are available (Wednesday) this afternoon from 2pm, why not come and say ‘hello’ and ‘welcome back’ to Skippy?

It’s a free event, with free parking too. Bring your kids to see ours.

We are located on the A5, Northamptonshire. NN7 4LB.
North of Weedon, Towcester and South of Kilsby and Rugby.

Heart of the Shires offers FREE Parking • FREE Admission • Relaxed Atmosphere • Quality Retailers • Unique Experience.

Vehicle access is located at the North end of the site and is clearly signposted. Parking for Blue Badge holders is nearest to the pedestrian entrance. The pedestrian entrance (marked on the map) leads guests into the main courtyard.

A beautiful day, our vinyl banners are up, optimism in the air - looks like we’re on the vinyl, sorry, final countdown!

A special event welcomes The Rustic Design Shed to the bandstand this weekend, both days, and on Sunday from 1pm, MEET ALISON JOHNSON - Renowned Abstract Artist at Heart of the Shires Shopping Village why not pop on down, see them and our build?

Watch out! The Rustic Design Shed is going all alfresco from margo&evie. Specialising in rustic, reclaimed, recycled, restored and rather lovely stuff, The Rustic Design Shed will be in the Bandstand at Heart of the Shires Shopping Village this weekend (29th and 30th June).

There will be loads of new products to showcase. One-offs, contemporary and classic pieces with some great show deals too, it promises to be a super event, in the 150 year old surroundings of the Victorian courtyard at Heart of the Shires. Save the date - the weather is set to be super too - and don’t miss it!
