Let's hear from one of our care workers from our Tameside team, who had high praises for Care Coordinators, Lisa and Jess.

"Over the last weekend, we were extremely busy and work was very hard with the weather being so hot. I don't think I would have got through it if it wasn't for Lisa and Jess from the office.

They helped me out so much and worked very hard, they certainly know what team work is all about. We kept in touch throughout the entire shift, sorting out which clients needed care and those that had already been seen. It's not the first time that they have helped out in a busy period.

We all work extremely hard. Lisa and Jess are amazing and even though they have completed their own work in the office on a full-time basis, they still make the effort for us. I would like to thank Mandy too, who still comes out to help us. For what Lisa and Jess did for us over the weekend, they deserve to be rewarded.

At the end of the shift, I even found time to text them both to say a big thank you."

Two of City & County's Salford Extra Care Schemes, Amblecote and Bourke Gardens went head-to-head in an Olympics event on 8th September, planned by For Housing.

It involved a lot of friendly competition between tenants and staff, with all contestants taking part in a sack race and a three-legged race.

It was amazing to see everybody connecting through a fun event, creating memories together!

Amblecote emerged victorious at the end of the day with Carmel and Sarah picking up gold for their scheme.

I must say the sack racing picture is one for the ages! 😂
