Apologies for the radio silence.
After careful consideration I have decided I need to change how things work at Daphne & Diana. I have accepted a new job starting in September which will not allow me to dedicate the time needed to continue this venture full time.
I will complete all outstanding orders and commissions and will continue to take on a limited number of commissions as time & life allows. I will keep this page active & share my creations with you but likely not as frequently.
I wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive Thank You to you all for your ongoing support of my venture.
It’s not goodbye, just see you less.
Vicky 🧶
I had such a lovely day yesterday.
The chance to display my designs within the beautifully restored Alice Marshall Hall alongside fellow local craftspeople was a fantastic opportunity & I was delighted to make some local sales. The hall is stunning and so perfect for so many events - unrecognisable on the inside!
I learnt to much from all the fellow crafters & visitors I had the chance to talk to and I got the chance to knit on and off throughout the day in great company - including making these lovely ‘chunky’ heart keyrings. Created with the ball ends from other projects.
Delighted to be part of the Bartons Celebration Week.
Find us in the Alice Marshall Hall, Middle Barton from 10.30-6pm Tuesday 13th July for a Craft Exhibition along with quilters, flower arranging, the WI, pottery and plants. Refreshments available to purchase ☕️🧁🍰🍪
See what we do, touch the signature chunky knit used in many of our projects and treat yourself. Small items available to purchase on the day with other items available to order. (Card & cash payments accepted)
Another delivery of my beautiful tags from just in time for this weekend’s event.
They finish off all my pieces perfectly and the excellent communication and outstanding service I receive from this small business makes ordering so simple.

I’m back!!! 🧶☀️🧶☀️
Apologies for the radio silence recently. I had a bad reaction to my 2nd jab which left me feeling unwell for over two weeks. As I recovered from that Half Term arrived and I decided to switch off a little and spend time with my family in the sunshine & properly recover.
They’re now back at school and pre-school & I’m excited to get stuck back into . I have existing orders to complete and new ideas to share with you over the coming days and weeks.
Thank you once again for your continued support.

Following on from the pattern trial for I’ve created this beauty in the gorgeous ‘Hail’ a Stormy Big Value Super Chunky yarn by . This is one of the gorgeous yarns from The Wool Shack in Par I shared yesterday.
This one already has a new home pre-ordered from the pattern sample but DM me if you’d like to order one.
£35 inc bottle.
Perfect for cosying up on camping trips this summer, a lovely gift or a treat to yourself for when the chilly nights return.
The Wool Shack I came across this wonderful place on a recent weekend break to Cornwall. I stopped to buy buckets from an angling shop for the kids and this gem was hidden out the back. I didn’t have time to stop that day & not sure the kids would have appreciated it as we were on-route to the beach!!
I contacted them on my return and this week received a wonderful parcel of Super Chunky perfect for a new order started today. Great service and a free tote bag perfect for projects on the go!
If you’re waiting for a grey hot water bottle cover its almost done & will be hand delivered soon - just in time for bank holiday camping?!
I’m taking some time out from social media this weekend to spend some quality time with family and celebrate simply being together again.
I’m sure some knitting may still occur but in an effort to be more present I won’t be posting about it!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! 🧶

Finished and handed to its delighted new owner today.
She said she’s excited to use it in the Autumn but with the way the weather is at the moment she might well need it this week!!!
I’m excited to make more of these including one for myself.
If you’d like to place an order or discuss your requirements DM me - £75.00
So nearly there with this gorgeous bespoke blanket scarf...
Just the rib at the bottom to finish - the fun part, then sewing in loose ends - the worst part of any project for me!
Hand knitted with Hayfield Bonus Super Chunky in Walnut on 12mm bamboo needles. I’ve worked with the client to create a bespoke pattern to meet her ideas of a super wide, super long and super chunky cosy scarf. Perfect for so many occasions but right now perfect for chilly pub garden gatherings!
I can’t wait to make myself one of these and will be adding it to the product list very soon - let me know if you’re interested, available in any colour/length/width to suit.
Recently a lovely customer, friend and great support of my new venture asked me to make her a hot water bottle cover for her camping trips this summer.
What great timing when asked for testers for a new chunky knit pattern she’s working on. Here’s my work in progress...
It’s a particularly emotional project as the last thing I knitted for Auntie Dy was a Hot Water Bottle cover for Christmas before she passed away in January of this year. For those who have visited her beloved home ‘Woodlands’ in the winter you’ll know how much needed it was!
I can’t wait to sew it up & share the finished project with you & get it safely to it’s new home.
An exciting parcel has been finished off and put together ready for despatch to my first official stockist.
If you’re lucky enough to be staying in Staffordshire over this season look out for my goodies available to purchase.
Summer might be on its way but the evenings round the campfire can still be chilly and our headbands are perfect for helping keep you snuggly and the keyrings make perfect gifts for yourself or others.
Thanks to Sue & Nick and best wishes for a successful season - we can’t wait to come back and visit soon. ⛺️🏕🔥

Arguably not the most exciting product but something used regularly by us all & look how bright and colourful they are!!
Knitted in 100% cotton, they’re machine washable & tumble@dryer proof (accidental test!) Perfect for a whole list of tasks around the house. They stretch during use and revert back to shape when dry - they’re designed to last & eliminate the use for throwaway plastic based cloths.
Available in a range of colours to suit your interior or in traditional dish cloth white/cream if you prefer. £6 each or £15 for a pack of 3. DM to order
My knitting location is less sunny beach and more cosy living room hiding from the rain this week but I enjoyed the weekend whilst it lasted!
More keyring in various shapes and colours in progress - some flying off to new sellers later this week - more info to follow!
Spring is here but we’re still needing extra layers!!
Our headbands are perfect for windy coastal walks such as the one I enjoyed in beautiful Cornwall this morning.
They’re also great for regular daily life with this weeks forecast wind & rain! Available in a range of colours including Fig shown here. DM to order
