Have waited a long time for a calf with this breeding. From our own IVF collection, done by Tyndale Vets and the amazing Peter May, this little lady has been on ice for years. We finally popped her in last year

ISSUED BY Royal Norfolk Show =
Plans are well underway for the 2024 Royal Norfolk Show and we look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th June. In the meantime, we have several exciting announcements to make ahead of the 2024 Show.
Burke Trophies
The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association is honoured to announce that they will be hosting the coveted Burke Trophies at the 2024 Royal Norfolk Show. The Burke Trophies remain the most prestigious awards within UK farming, introduced more than seventy years ago to mark Sir Roland Burke’s retirement from the Royal Agricultural Society of England in 1950, following twenty years of office. They will be awarded as follows;
a) for the best two animals of a breed - one male and one female in the beef cattle section.
b) for the best two females of a breed in the dairy cattle section.
c) for the best new implement showcasing agricultural innovation.
Burke Trophy, Burke Trophies, Burke Perpetual Challenge Trophy, Burke Innovation Trophy and Burke Perpetual Challenge Trophies are trademarks of the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
National Shows
We are delighted to be hosting National Shows for several of our cattle breeds at next year’s Show;
- Beef Shorthorn
- Red Poll
- South Devon
- British Simmental
We are thrilled to be working with these four breed societies to put on the most fantastic National Shows and hope to welcome lots of new exhibitors and their cattle to our wonderful county.
Reminder - BVD / TB Regulations
BVD: Exhibitors will be required to demonstrate that either individual animals have been tested for the presence of BVD virus (with negative results) or that the animal originates or resides in a herd accredited BVD free on a CHeCS approved cattle scheme. A copy of the relevant laboratory report (including ‘Tag and Test’) or details of a BVD scheme membership must be submitted online via your eNet account when making your entries. Please note: you only have to test the animals you are bringing (your show team) and NOT the whole herd.
TB: If you are coming from a ONE-YEAR testing parish only, you are required to test all cattle (excluding calves under 42 days of age) during the 60 days before the Show. A copy of the negative pre-movement test result must be submitted online via your eNet account when making your entries. If you are coming from a FOUR-YEAR testing parish, there is no need to pre-movement test.
With an array of prestigious awards on offer at the 2024 Royal Norfolk Show, we expect cattle standings and entries to fill quickly. Entries will open in the Spring and can be made online via your eNet account. Prize Schedules will be available to download on our website and you will receive an email when they are ready to view.

New era for Beef Shorthorn brand 💥
The Beef Shorthorn breed is positioning itself for a confident and modern impact on the beef industry going forward as they launch a new evolution of the Beef Shorthorn Society brand, with a refreshed and modernised message of the breed’s future potential.
Tim Riley, President of the Beef Shorthorn Society said, “As a Board and Society we are thrilled to launch a new chapter of the Beef Shorthorn Society brand.
“As the oldest pedigree-registered cattle breed in the world as well as one of the fastest-growing native breeds in the UK, we are immensely proud of our past but also excited for the future direction of the breed and the Society. It was therefore the right time to build on and revitalise our original branding.”
