Earlier today we held one of our quarterly Safer off the Streets Peterborough Partnership meetings. It was great to hear of the fantastic work being undertaken by our partners and I am sure by working together we can make such a difference to the lives of the homeless in Peterborough. Lorna who is a Rough Sleeper Outreach Officer and Marie, who is a Rough Sleeper Supported Accomodation Prevention Officer, both work at Peterborough City Council within the Rough Sleeper Outreach Team. Both Lorna and Marie have decided to raise funds for Safer off the Streets Peterborough by climbing Mount Snowdon in the first week of May 24 (weather dependant), to support our Rough Sleepers in Peterborough. Team members from several of our Partner organisations joined us on Monday to explore recently published best practice on outreach. We reviewed our strengths and weaknesses, prioritised weaker areas for improvement and generated good ideas of how to do so. Thank you all for your openness and interest in the topic, we will continue this work for sure. Thank you The Salvation Army United Kingdom and Ireland Territory Peterborough for hosting us.

Peterborough's Big Sleep Out takes place on Friday the 8th of March and aims to raise awareness of homelessness in the city. It's a collaboration between the Light Project and the Posh Foundation and takes place at the football stadium. Malcolm from the Cathedral is sleeping out & raising money for the Light Project.
