๐ Our current exhibition closes today, marking the end of this season - and what an incredible season it's been! ๐
This past season, we explored the complexities of human-machine relationships with Resonating Bodies, celebrated the 100th anniversary of Rhapsody in Blue with The London Gershwin Players, danced with love at diversity meets dance, and were inspired by the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize (and much more!). We also hosted powerful performances, like Hot House by Richard Chappell Dance and Boy on the Roof by Vamos Theatre.
Swipe through to revisit some moments from this season! ๐ธ

The MATERIALS section of our current exhibition at the University of Plymouth, includes explorations of everyday materials and how long they take to decompose. What can you spot that you use? ๐
The hope is that the exhibits and stories alongside OBJECTS will encourage visitors to reflect on their personal relationships with objects and materials, and the importance of adopting more responsible ownership and consumer habits. ๐ค
To that end, it also features a pledge wall where people will be able to post their thoughts on the exhibition and any actions they intend to take as a result. โ๏ธ

Talking about the Green Making | Materials | Objects exhibition, our curator Polly Macpherson shared this quote by designer William Morris, and went on to say:
โSomewhere down the line we have really lost sight of that, to the point where so many of the items we buy today are things we do not really need and are often quickly disposed of. In spite of that, every home features objects that have been part of families for generations, or that have been made by individuals using sustainable resources.
"That is the case with the objects featuring in this exhibition, and its aim is to celebrate those items and challenge elements of our modern way of life. I also hope it will encourage people to consider how they can think, act and live more sustainably now and in the future.โ
What are the objects in your house that mean the most to you? Comment below ๐
