25th ANNIVERSARY SHOW: At the Drama Studio.
Friday 24th Sept: 7pm to go through all audition songs (adults and children) Any new members are welcome to come along.

Sunday 26th Sept: AUDITIONS for all singing roles from 6pm
This will be very formal. Will try to do all children's auditions first.

Please note: That because of a lack of cast, (especially males) some selections maybe changed. We are definitely replacing some selections with a PANTOMIME section.

Touchwood Theatre Company are looking for new members to start straight away for their 25th Anniversary Show 'SILVER SCREEN CLASSICS'. As well as the many film classics the company has performed over the past 25 years we will be including many stage shows such as 'Oliver', 'Annie', 'The Wizard of Oz'', 'Half a Sixpence',
'Underneath the Arches' 'Treasure Island' plus the ever popular 'If I were not upon the stage'. There will also be a special pantomime feature in the show. We require new members who are interested in solo's or just being in the chorus. Boys aged 8 to 12 are required for Oliver Twist, Artful Dodger, Jim Hawkins and Girls aged 8 to 12 for 'Annie the Musical and more.
We also require a chorus choreographer for the show if anyone is interested. They must have some experience.
This Friday 24th Sept is for new members and anyone else in the company who are auditioning for solo's from 7pm.
On Sunday 26th September we are holding auditions for all adults and children from 6pm. All rehearsals are at the drama studio of Eggbuckland Community College. Fees are £30 for adults and £15 for children 16 and under.

Touchwood Committee had a zoom meeting last night and obviously a lot of decisions on future shows will depend on when restrictions will be lifted. It was wonderful catching up and being able to make a few decisions. Pantomime script is nearly finished and hopefully it will still go ahead in December.

Prime roles for forthcoming pantomime.

AUDITIONS tomorrow night for 'Snow White' at Eggbuckland Community College will now be from 6 to 9pm for all adult roles. The rest of the Dwarfs to be cast at a later date.

BOYS required to play the SEVEN DWARFS in Touchwood's forthcoming pantomime 'SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS'. Must be aged 6 to 10 years and under 4ft 8ins (approx). Tonight is a script reading for all characters at Eggbuckland Community College from 6pm to 9pm. (Children from 6 to 7pm) and then next week AUDITIONS for parts.
SNOW WHITE & THE DWARFS: 4 to 5.30pm and all other characters from 5.30pm onwards. There will be no rehearsals then until September. Mostly the Dwarf rehearsals will be Sunday afternoons from 2 to 5pm. For further details ring David on 07393229768

Touchwood require new members for principals and adult chorus and 7 boys aged 6 to 10 years who are under 4ft 10ins to play the seven dwarfs. Girls aged 6 to 10 yrs for the panto babes. Former Touchwood pianist - Babs Cole

Barbara Cole who is now aged 93 has been doing 'Garden Party's' since 1998. In that time she has hosted them at her home 'Alvian' Haye Road South, Elburton and only missing two years. It takes place on Sunday 7th August and opens at 2pm. To be opened by the Duchess of Elburton.
This year will be her final 'Garden Party' (the 18th) and each year donating the proceeds of over £1,000's to various charities. Babs who is great Aunt to actress Dawn French has had many people open her event which has seen thousands of people attend. For many years it was opened by the late radio personality Dougie Mounce with entertainment by organist Len Jackman. Unfortunately Len is not well enough to attend and our musical entertainment this year will be by Paul Millard. This years charity will be Crohns and Colitis UK.
There will be stalls, a grand raffle and an entrance fee of £2.50 (including your cream tea). For ticket bookings call Babs on 492085

Touchwood's 'Annual General Meeting' will be on Wednesday 28th October at Tavy Lodge, Tavy Place, Mutley at 7.30pm. The position of Secretary is available and if anyone else would like to join the committee or social committee please let me know. Please attend if possible as it is the time for anyone to share your views.
