November Remembrance for those who have died homeless ❤️🎶:
A Service of Commemoration for people who have been homeless who have died in the past year has taken place today at St Martin in the fields church in London. The Choir with No Name, Streetwise Opera, and the Gavin Bryars Ensemble took part, culminating in a moving rendition of 'You'll never walk alone.'
The service remembered those who have died on the streets, in hostels and shelters, as well as those who managed to move on to more settled lives but who still relied on homelessness services. Colleagues, staff and volunteers who worked with the homeless and have died in the past year were also commemorated.

A LEGACY OF LOVE
CAFOD Candlelight Fund in Memory of Bishop Christopher
Bishop Christopher was a passionate supporter of CAFOD and a heartfelt advocate for social justice, both on a local and global scale, playing a vital role in the development of the Caritas social action network in our country. He established the 'covenant with the poor' here in our Diocese and inspired and supported the many CAFOD volunteers in our Diocese to love, compassion and faith in action.
Simon Giarchi, co-ordinator for CAFOD here in our diocese, wrote:
'His warmth and personal commitment to the common good were truly inspirational to all who met and worked with him. The tremendous support of CAFOD's work here in the Diocese of Plymouth is deeply rooted in Bishop Christopher’s powerful love for our neighbours. The enduring support from the Catholic community here in the diocese and indeed CAFOD's programme around the world will forever be his living legacy of love!'
He chose CAFOD as the charity he invited people to donate with in his memory and a candlelight fund has been set up online. If you feel moved to donate, continuing his 'legacy of love' please visit the page here: https://candlelight.cafod.org.uk/?TB=39985
