We have organised a site tour of the new Moxy hotel at Millbay which is due to open in the coming months.
The tour will start at 1pm and is open to all RIBA plymouth branch members. Please ensure that you bring your own PPE if you wish to attend as you will not be able to enter the site without it.
Meeting place will be in the old pavilions car park which is now the site compound area.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Our first branch meeting of the year will be held on the 24th January at 5:30pm which will be held at the Lord High Admiral pub in Stonehouse.
We look forward to seeing you there for a drink and informal chat about this years events.

We also got the chance to have a great tour and presentation of the recent works to the Melville building at Royal William Yard. Special thanks to Architects for their time and insight of the project.

On Friday we held our branch annual lecture at the University of Plymouth which was very well received.
We did something a little different this year and invited not one but three excellent speakers under the them of diversity and resilience, Helena Rivera, Sumita Singha and Denitza Moreau gave an excellent insight to their own thoughts on the topic.
Thank you to all who attended and the guest speakers, we hope you enjoyed it and look out for future events comings soon.

RIBA Plymouth are pleased to welcome three distinguished speakers to discuss challenges and opportunities facing the profession and wider society in recent years - post Grenfell, post Climate Emergency Declarations, post Covid and post Brexit.
Their respective practices are testimony to their taking a Lead in identifying both a proactive, resilient direction in the face of the challenges posed, and opportunity in the diversity of forms of practice they are pursuing.

It’s been a long time coming but our first event has been confirmed! 🥳 RIBA members in Plymouth please join us for a tour of the Millennium Building on Union Street by hosted by . They will run us through the existing building talking through the challenges of re-inventing the building, how this fits within Nudge’s manifesto and mission, and what the plans are for the future.
This will be followed by a long over due social for us all and a farewell to Claire Bower, our Communities Coordinator, who leaves us after 7 years with the RIBA.
