A fantastic day at Sea . Great company and some amazing sport with our dear friends at AH Harvey and Sons . The evening was spent diving with our regular Wednesday nighters.

A stunning evenings diving with UberScuba.co.uk paying host to our long serving customer East Dorset Sub Aqua . I've lost count how many years, but it's a lot more than 20 . Poole Rocks , lots of life including Scallops.

What an evening. Kyarra HW slack . At times a little bumpy, enough to say that Rocket took more of a battering than the Custard Creams . Despite all that Ian Craddock found treasure ! . Ian's laser vision spotted what we believe to be a tiny bottle of Lemonade . We've googled ball stopper, and it sends links for Ann Summers 🤣, we all think it might have belonged to the Borrowers . Well done Poole Diving.

Not the best start to this evenings dive, in pouring rain and a SE breeze. Despite that East Dorset Sub Aqua Club enjoyed a drift dive at Southborne . Plenty life including Scallops and Lobsters. Fingers crossed Summer will arrive soon.

A beautiful day at Sea. Today Uber Scuba welcomed our old friends from Southampton University aboard. Lots of scientific stuff, including Hydraphones and Seabed Mapping. Early indications show a regeneration, where Seagrass has previously been damaged from anchoring in Studland. Since our initial installation of Ten pin moorings, Eighty or more have been installed. They are proving popular with boaters ,whilst protecting the fragile Seagrass habitat. Our evening dive was enjoyed by East Dorset Sub Aqua Club. Millpond conditions ensured a lovely trip to Dancing Ledge. Stunning Vis with lots of life . Tomorrow another busy day and evening awaits .

Breezy but nice . This Bank Holiday Monday kicks off a busy week of day and evening diving for Uber Scuba. We have BH University aboard,who will diving various sites including our now famous Mortar wreck site. It is a plan to raise some important artifacts for future inclusion into Poole museum. Our weekends are now full,so any spaces will be on existing charters with clubs. We have already received plenty of interest for next year,so the future is looking promising.

Sharon has a new toy !. When I pull up at the traffic lights,Sharon jumps out and does the windows.

That was a little stressful. Unhelpful sea conditions in the harbour with wind and tide together made for tricky berthing .Lake yard's Dave the said not many would have attempted it. I have asked if I can have a copy of the CCTV coming in sideways 🤣 . Now a week ashore for tinkering.

Fishing legend and great friend of mine John Bell has sadly passed away. Many will have memories of fishing with John Bell aboard his vessel Mia -Jay . John built and skippered several boats over many years and Mia-Jay became well known for Wrecking and Channel Island trips from Poole. Back in the early 1980's and late 90' s both John and myself enjoyed many cross channel adventures in our boats. Usually ending up in the Divers,the Moorings or the First and Last Restaurant ,Alderney .

UberScuba.co.uk first charter of 2024 Our client Condor ferries. Vessel Condor Voyager. Test , recover and tow liferaft and shute. Well this job appealed to me being a lover of big boats ,and bouncy castles . Lovely company, lots of laughs all whilst bathed in glorious sunshine. If the rest of the season goes as well as today ,I won't be complaining .

New bouncy helm seat to start the season . This cost £50 less than Coastline Upholstery wanted to re-cover the old base 🤣
This one is missing the headrest ,but includes a seatbelt for when things turn fluffy .

Thunderbird 8 aka DSV Rocker Swash channel inbound . Tonights evening dive ended slightly later than usual. Sailing vessel Mischief called in a very broken pan pan and required immediate help. Lack of wind caused the boat to be in irons . Without power her crew was unknowingly drifting dangerously close to the training bank.
On passage in I soon realised he was on my radar..A brief call to Solent Coastguard offering our assistance was readily accepted. The Poole Diving crew readied the tow bridle. (They are very experienced at this 🤣)
Before anyone could shout Scallops , Mischief was under tow . It's not the easiest job in the dark . Towing a vessel with no comms,having to stay in the small ships channel as astern of me was Condor Liberation. Thanks go to Poole diving ,PHC, Condor Liberation, & Sandbanks ferry company. Always nice to offer a helping hand ,and 900hp to a fellow seafarer.

A lovely cruise to Southampton today aboard this beautie. . Uber Scuba used to perform her in water hull inspections saving her charity expensive dry docking expenses. In 2020 the MCA insisted on dry docking ,so that was the last year of our inspections. We are proud to board her today ,on suck a glorious day.
