Day 4 ‘stride for Gaza’. A very soggy 8.98kms today, in London, my main walk between Cliftonville and Ramsgate and last thing at night. (Now, nearly 45/95kms completed in the first four days and £450.00 raised - a huge thank you today to Abdullah, and Steve). But at least I have a solid roof, heating, food, and family to come back to. Although we may think this country is in tatters, but we have absolute luxury in contrast to the devastated Gazan people and the Gazan homeland. Yesterday we experienced the wettest day on record in Valencia. It was for about 36 hours like an apocalyptic end of the world movie. Out of the 36 hours only 4 were free from constant thunder rolls and crashes and lightning every 10-20 seconds. Where we were, about 6inches of rain fell. Here in Valencia they measure it in litres per square metre and in one report it was 1,400 litres/m2!!! This follows the wettest April receiving the year’s rainfall in one month.
Tonight at 7pm GMT all the bells will ring
At that moment, turn off all the lights in your homes to show Putin that we prefer to go without light than to buy oil and gas from him.
This is a solidarity action that will be done throughout Europe at the same time 🇪🇺
