This was just a beautiful swim. So calm and quite. Very lucky to have the sun again on our day here.

Registration done... only 10km swim to go Jubilee River Swim 2022...

Didn't get to swim here but look at the view - it looks so inviting Bassenthwait Lake.

Just found out that Tom Cruise was in Buttermere today Filming the Mission Impossible!!

After a day of working and no swimming - we made up for it today with 2 lakes. Buttermere and Crummock water - a bit of a drive but so worth it. The sun shone and the water was beautiful.

We are so lucky to be staying 5mins from lake Windermere on the Pullwood Bay Estate in a lovely cottage.

First day in the Lake District and a swim in Windermear Lake - Hubby joined me too. Lovely

So excited that I get to use this book... First time in the Lake District.

Please please make sure loved ones know how to enjoy water safely.

Well a few less birds...but still lovely.

Great to finally be back teaching school swimming here...

After 10 days swimming at Louis phaethon beach hotel I'll be back to teaching and coaching in Reading tomorrow.

I was reminded today how important it is to try things (equipment /food etc) out before race day....

Luckily this time it was only a 10m race in the holiday pool that the kids signed me up for. I now know my bikini (that looks OK on the beach) is not great for diving in and contacts & no goggles are not a good combo... plus I'm not a sprinter.

I think I'll stick to 10km rather than 10m...

Next time you're swimming check you can float....
