Stretford under 10 v shawclough tigers underv10s result 5 1 to opposition
Well, the game didn't work out today. It was a great start and a few chances by Jack before we allowed the opposition to strike first and second blood. However a pinpoint pass by Alfie to jack saw a wondergoal by jack we continued to press and left gaps at the back allowing Stretford to score 3 goals in last 5 minutes. Totally proud of the tigers effort, another day may have been different but having boys poorly didn't help our course. Well done jack on man of match performance and amelia and Alfie on doing well. Still along way to go but let's have a fabulous Christmas and go again π
Shawclough Lions u10's Vs Chadderton FC Black u10's
Last time out Shawclough won this fixture 4-0 and we were looking to improve on that this time. We have been working hard in training on passing triangles and 1-2 passing but today it was like we forgot everything. We never really had any decent periods in the game and came out losing 5-1 which is a hell of a swing from the previous result, partly due to our poor performance and missing players, and partly due to a vast improvement in the Chadderton side. Man of the match - Derek Ogbeide who was outstanding in defence. We go again next week β₯οΈ
Shawclough Warriora U11s
βI'm running out of things to say about these awesome boys. Absolute mentality monsters! π We didn't play our best but we were still able to play some decent football despite some nerves. The early goal helped but not without some absolute outstanding saves from the best goalkeeper in this league. Definitely kept us in the game today and maintained our lead. The boys outfield battled hard and showed grit and determination and played like warriors!
Man of the match;
Alfie D - solid as a rock in an unfamiliar centre back position today. Was like Van Djik at the back, won pretty much every battle.
Bobby - great running up and down today and made crucial interceptions in the middle of the pitch, also found himself in some good positions up top.
We have to just take a minute to appreciate just how vital our Captain was today, lost for words with his saves today, absolutely phenomenal! π§€π₯
As always, a massive thank you to the greatest parents for your continued support. On to the final next week.

Extremely proud of the lads today in what was a tough quarter final game. The boys took a little while to get going today. They battled hard and created some opportunities but found themselves behind after about 20 minutes. Despite the setback, the lads kept working hard and after a well worked build up Ollie got us level just before half time. During the half time team talk we got ourselves focused and it didn't take long for our Warriors to take the lead with a banger from Ryan! Phalon added a 3rd and the boys seemed to settle and then produce some brilliant football. The game was wrapped up with a second half hat trick from Kayden, with a spectacular free kick aswell. On to the semi final next week for these amazing boys.
Man of the match;
Kayden. 2 outstanding free kicks and showed great versatility between midfield and attack.
Ryan; was solid as a rock today, great work up and down the wing and scored a banger at a crucial time in the game.
Also, a special mention to Riley because he pulled off some outstanding saves again at crucial times in the game. π§€

Shawclough Tigers u10s v Heyside Hunters u10s 3 - 5.
A rollercoaster of a match. Slow start with the opening goal from Finlay 9 minutes in to give the Tigers the lead. The match was evenly paced with Ty scoring the next goal 20 mins, to give the Tigers a 2 nil lead. This was short lived and a lack of concentration saw the Tigers go 2 - 3 down in the blink of an eye.
Undeterred, the Tigers battled on in the second half with Amelia bringing it back to 3-3.
Unfortunately the Hunters caught their pray and took the lead again shortly after.
The game finally ended with the Hunters winning 3 - 5.
Despite losing, the Tigers never gave up at any time and made the Hunters work for their win.
Much improvement from last week, upwards & onwards to next week as the Tigers are through to the quarter finals of the Christmas cup π²π
Man of the match - Jack.

Today these boys was ready to come off the pitch with a win. Starting from when the whistle was blown all players was on an attack, Lucas & Bobby shown real strike determination leading the team with a 2-0 start within a few minute. Vinny shown some great tackling skills and was immediately ready to get back if opponents had the ball. Ruben, Theon and Dexter was outstanding in defence not giving the opposition much chance of a goal. Freddie made some excellent saves today. The special mention of this match today was Troy he battled every single challenge he was given he shown true determination and a real football player attitude, which led to him scoring himself x2 goals. Throughout the whole game every single player shown some incredible team work which led to the the Wasp getting goal after goal. Well done today boys the match was outstanding!

Loui and Klay shown some superb defending not allowing the opponents to get many goal. Such a great game played today by the lads and all should be very proud of themselves. Another week and another outstanding performance from our Warriors. These boys leave me speechless sometimes. To watch them play like this as a coach is pure perfection. After conceding the early goal the boys switched into warrior mode and quickly made amends taking the early lead and from then on it was all us. Every player was faultless today and made our job so difficult for man of the match. We finish the group stages unbeaten and top the league ahead of our quarter final next week. We're extremely proud coaches tonight!
Man of the match;
Phalon - worked his socks off up and down the wing today, tough tackling and great link up play. Scoring 1 and getting 3 assists.

Shawclough Lions u10's Vs Total FC Blues U10's
Last time we met we won 2-0 and hoped to equal that this time around. A good start saw us go 1-0 up courtesy of a finish from Theo Smout from Olly Brierley's crossed ball. Kian Mercer, on his debut, worked tirelessly on the wing, looking dangerous going forward and working hard to help out the defense. Derek Ogbeide wore the captain's armband today and did not disappoint in his role. Organising the team and leading by example, I could give him man of the match every week. Oskar Mazur went on a run in the second third of the match before playing a ball across goal to our other Debutant, Alfie O'Connor who struck home to make it 2-0. 2 further goals from Theo Smout in the final third of the game saw him claim his hat trick, all thanks to Ben Fitzpatrick, Charlie Jones and Olly Brierley working hard to create in midfield. Another clean sheet for Lucas Mercer saw the game finish 4-0 to us. The boys are improving every week and really taking in what we do in training.
Man of the Match - Theo "Thunderbolt" Smout for his hat trick and never stopping chasing any ball that came up front. UTS

What a great games the team had even though they lost 3-2 they are definitely starting to gel as a team. Some great passing & defending through the game.
Our 2 goals were scored by Riley!
Ruben the goalkeeper did some cracking saves and Ollie had a brilliant shot at the goal but unfortunately missed. Even though they lost, they didnβt let that get them down. The Team played really well.

Kicked off at 12.30 and for an hour the rain just didn't stop. It wasn't to be there day today and they went down 4-2 to a tough ballers team but all the kids battled right until the end and were a credit to the club. Goals were both scored by Theon and man of the match was Rueben who was solid at the back.

Another great day for the bees who narrowly lost to prestwich this morning. Fantastic performance all round and goals for Henry and Freddie. All the players never stopped working hard despite it raining heavily. Fantastic performances from Kai Albert Freddie and Henry but the player of the match was shared between Delilah and Reggie who where both exceptional. The game finished 4-2 but was played in fantastic spirits by both teams.

What a brilliant game today some good football but an unlucky loss (3-2) boys gave them a good game after unsworth going 1 nil up they really got stuck in and got shawclough 2-1 up and both goals by jase think we just switched off towards the end for around 5 minutes which they made it 3-2 regardless of the score we done some brilliant passing and defending which I thought did exceptionally well specially Kardel I thought did really well and Milan made some really great saves and being really vocal so well done to everyone inc parents

Another impression team display today. The boys played some great attacking football today and their pace and movement going forward was a joy to watch. Brilliant passing, movement off the ball and decision making was key today and the lads deserved their 7-2 victory today which keeps us top of our group in the Christmas Cup.
Man of the match;
Toby - solid as a rock today, winning every 1 on 1 and everything in the air aswell as making positive runs down the wing.
Ismail - non stop running all game, winning lots of battles down the wing and creating some great opportunities for himself and others.
Special mention to our captain,Great to have our keeper back today! Well done Riley. . πβ½ππππ§€π₯

βAnother confident display from the boys who have made that 3 wins on the bounce. A bright start with Ollie scoring within the first few minutes opened the floodgates and saw us race into a comfortable 5-0 lead. Some great passing and moving through the middle aswell as great use of the width on the wings allowed us to keep finding space in behind and we could've had more goals. 6-1 was the final score but most importantly another great team performance.
Man of the match;
Ollie - a great display all over the pitch today, great anticipation in the box and a superb hat-trick!
Alvie V - solid as a rock at the back today, winning pretty much every tackle and scored a beauty of a goal.
Special mention to the boys who helped out in goal again today, especially the quality save from Ismail. Hopefully have Riley back next week.

Shawclough Lions u10's Vs Littleborough Juniors u10's
Another tough fixture today having played the same fixture just a few weeks ago and drawing 1-1. Shawclough got off to a great start and Olly Brierley, Derek Ogbeide and Ben Fitzpatrick all looked dangerous attacking the Littleborough goal. A great ball out to Olly on the left wing and an equally great switch pass from Olly over to Ben saw Ben hit the ball clean but unfortunately the ball came back out off the post. Shortly after the roles reversed and Ben played a ball across from the right into Derek who saw his shot saved by the goalie before Olly tapped it home to make it 1-0 to us. Shortly after, an unfortunate own goal from Oskar Mazur brought Littleborough level at 1-1. Shawclough looked the more dangerous though winning lots of corners. Charlie Jones corner came back out to him on the wing where he hit a sweet volley to put us 2-1 up from a tight angle going into the end of the first third. The second third saw a calamity of errors from our defence which Littleborough capitalized on and brought the game back to 2-2. Shortly after a Littleborough corner was unfortunately turned into his own goal by Theo Smout whilst trying to clear the ball making it 3-2 to Littleborough. Theo had looked very dangerous up front and was unfortunate not to score just before this with a shot going narrowly wide. The second third ended 3-2. Louis Longstaff played great and worked hard for us the right wing and made some great passes into Theo and Ben who unfortunately could not convert. The final third saw us revert to the dangerous formation that had seen us dominate the first third but unfortunately Littleborough scored another goal to make it 4-2 before a cross bounced of Charlie Jones into his own goal to make it 5-2 to Littleborough with just 5 minutes to go. Olly then scored a second goal to make it 5-3 before Charlie Jones converted a free kick to make it 5-4. We were all over them at this point but unfortunately ran out of time before the final whistle. All throughout the game our defensive unit of Rayyan, Oskar and Derek when moved back looked solid, and all played really well. The game ended 5-4 to Littleborough and was only our second loss of the season. We were the better side but unfortunately 3 own goals cost us the win today. Probably the best we have played this season and very unlucky not to have won. Well done Lions.
Man of the Match: Charlie Jones
A friendly in the middle of our u11 Warriors Christmas cup today but a brilliant 6-1 WIN! Some great football played by the lads and a special shout out for the lads who went in net while our goalie, Riley, is still out after his injury. β½οΈ π§€
Such a fantastic performance today for our under 7 Bees however it was a sad loss for us todayπ .
3-2
Team started off a little slow which saw the other team earn themselves a goal. Straight after all shawclough then woke up and was demanding they had the ball. Which then led to a beautiful goal by Freddie. Going into the 2nd half shawclough was ready to get themselves more goals and work well has a team. Shawclough went back into the pitch with strong body postures and determination, Henry came out of net and became an excellent all round player which then led to Henry scoring the 2nd goal. Not long after the opponent team came back fighting and took the score up to 2-2. All players went into the 3rd half fighting and battling some incredible tackles made from Kai and super defending skills from Klay. Unfortunately the opponent scored on the last minute on a penalty which led them to a result of 3-2.
All players showed such strong confidence and worked incredible as a team. Keep it up boys and letβs go again next week.
