Having your baby during lockdown. What you need to know!
I know it feels like the worst time ever to have a baby but you can still have your positive birth experience!
A tip for any expectant mums with a due date in a upcoming months.
Although things look very overwhelming and all over the place you can still have a gentle an Empowering birth even if you go to the hospital.
However you need to change the way you are getting ready. You need most and foremost to understand how your local hospital is dealing with the situation because from talking with a friend of mine who is a midwife each hospital is making their own policy. For example where she works birth partner are allowed only during active birth but in London no birth partner at all.
So at your next antenatal visit, make sure that you take the time to understand how your hospital is adapting to the situation so you can better prepare based on facts 👍
If you were expecting to have a homebirth in the coming months, now you only have 2 options really: go ahead with your homebirth but unassisted or going to the hospital.
Now more than ever is the right time to learn how to recreate the homebirth you wanted but in a hospital setting.Yes you can. You learn how in my upcoming online masterclass Gentle, Empowering Hospital Birth.
In Medway, we are very lucky because the maternity team is very pro natural, unmedicated birth. Unfortunately the trust dismantled the homebirth team before it started but if you want a natural unmedicated birth, go for it 💯. There's plenty of support. Make sure to ask if you're ready to take the next step. Send me a message right here on Facebook.

What's the buzz this week in Birthana's world 💜
Are you at the end of your pregnancy? Do you want a natural birth? But you are starting to panic big time about your natural birth plan. About your ability.
Getting the right type of help here is critical to remain focus and stay confident. Trouble is there is none. With your midwife or Ob, it's all about having a sweep or being induced. And online most programmes are more for women around 24 weeks pregnant. Until now that is 🙂.
After speaking lately with so many women right at the end of their pregnancy who were panicking and talking themselves out of their natural birth plan, I decided to create an online live coaching group to help you refocus and boost your confidence.
The training is done over 5 days and included 3 live video coaching (Monday, Wednesday and Friday so that you have time in-between to reflect, practice the exercises and gather your questions for the next call).
You also get ongoing support via a private Facebook group until the baby is here.
We start on Monday 18th March 2019. There are only 20 places available.
As it is the 1st round and I want to build case studies, it's a great opportunity to get help for a fraction of the normal price( £397) at only £97.

Hello hello. Unfortunately, today there won't be a live as I have a house full of sick children (3 of them are down with the flu and my little one keeps breastfeeding). But I still want you to start creating a plan to help you feel less anxious about giving birth.
My name is Francelise (very unusual french name 😉😀) I am the founder of Birthana, birth au naturel where I help mum prepare their body and mind to handle natural birth without an epidural and avoid a traumatic birth.
"Mum Asked" is a video series every Tuesday on Facebook where I come live to answer a question that lots of pregnant women ask themselves.
Today's question is "How to stop worrying about your labour day?"
Now if you feel brave enough, let me know in the comment what is your biggest concern about giving birth?
To help you start feeling less anxious, I am going to take you through a little exercise that makes wonder at calming your nerves. It's called journaling.
So it's very simple. I want you to take to take a blank piece of paper and you going to write down every worry, fears that you have about your labour day. Write everything. It can be questions, feelings, things you have heard, seen or experienced. There are no stupid questions, btw 😉. And I want you to notice how you feel. To make it easier, do a bullet points list.
There is something very powerful about putting what's going on in your mind into writing. It's like a transfer.
And then go back at the top of your list and 1 by 1 ask yourself "what do I need to know or do to answer this?" It will make it easier to know what to ask and whom to ask. If you feel stuck, you are more than welcome to post under this post. For more in-depth and private help, I run online workshops (next one is Friday 8th of February. For more details and to register, check the comment section below this post) 💜
