🌻 Spring Retreat……
🌱 If you listen closely, your body receives natures messages on physical and subtle levels.
🌻 At Spring time the physical body asks for renewal; to release and detoxify from stored heaviness from winter through light movement and diet. We gently uncurl and unravel from any stiffness and tension we might be holding onto if we feel as if we spent most of winter time curled up and hunched over.
🌱 Spring is the perfect time to very gently bring in a little more movement and flow.
And we did just that……🌻🌱🌻🌱
🧡 As always the weekend wouldn’t have been as magical without having Rebecca by my side. Blessed as ever to work with such a beautiful soul 🧡

☀️ I could stare at this forever ☀️
✨✨✨✨
Be in the moment.
The assumption is that you could be anywhere else, if you wanted. How is that even possible? The present is the only place you can be.
If you live, you live in this moment ✨

Bhramari pranayama- humming bee breath…..🐝
Is one of my favourite kind of techniques to practice.
There is evidence that humming through lowering the pitch of your voice and creating resonance in the throat, can trigger the parasympathetic nervous system.
The parasympathetic nervous system helps us to balance, calm and restore. It causes decreased heart rate, blood pressure and respiration rate.
Singing, playing wind instruments, chanting, pranayama and yoga can all stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.
Hum like a bee:
Inhale through the nose with a soft sound.
Deeply exhale with a humming or murmuring sound.
Practice Bhramari Pranayama for around six rounds and then sit quietly in stillness, noticing the effects.
This is a great technique to do before meditation 🧘🏼♀️
Enjoy 😊 🐝

Yin-Yang Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation Retreat ☯
August 4-6 2023
Myself and Rebecca are delighted to share with you our next retreat on the edge of Ashdown Forest 🍃
🌿We have chosen a beautiful community dedicated to creative education, spiritual, social, personal and ecological development. It's nice and close with basic accommodation and beautiful grounds that include a biodynamic vegetable garden and an orchard. It's important for us to be supporting this kind of work.
🪷We will offer 6 sessions of yin and yang style yoga, breathwork and guided meditation with the intention of exploring the balance of yin and yang energy on and off our mats for harmonious living. We will intentionally keep open space with (yin) time for personal reflection/ reading/ walking /sitting quietly to enhance deep rest and restoration.
To not have every moment filled can be challenging for many, so we will offer support during this process where necessary.
✨We have tried to make this as affordable and accessible as possible with options to camp, double up or have your own room.
All showers and toilets are shared with a sink only in the bedrooms.
Meals are vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options.
✨Spaces are filling up fast with almost half already reserved.
If you are interested please get in touch🙏🏼💕.
✨💫✨💫
🌿 My three daily essentials for a healthy mind and a healthy body….
🫁 Powerful breathwork - Strong deep breathing techniques are very powerful for activating, resetting and unblocking the mind, energy and emotional systems.
🏃♀️ Movement\asana - It's movement that gives us healthy joints, strong bones, physical strength and good circulation.
🧘🏼♀️ Slow breathwork/meditation - Slow and gentle breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system. When we are in this "rest-and-digest" state, our body can heal, recover and recharge again.
🌿 I have gained so much from going deeper into my own personal yoga & breathwork practice and have learnt so much about how to use certain techniques to deeply relax, heal, focus, meditate and improve general health. It is my goal to share these wonderful techniques with you.
✨ Head over to my website to find out where you can catch me for a class or get in touch to enquire about a 1-1 session.
(*Stronger/dynamic breathing exercises should always be practiced with precaution and guided by a qualified instructor)
✨
✨ Exciting new offerings ✨
🫁 Breathing greatly influences our mind, nervous system, bodily systems & functions. The way we control our breath produces different effects.
🫁 Each form of breathwork has its own unique approach, but they all share the common goal of using the breath to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
🫁 Strong dynamic breathing is a very powerful way to activate, reset and unblock the mind, energy and emotional systems.
🧘🏼♀️ Slow & calm breathing will induce a state of deep relaxation combined with high concentration and is very beneficial for meditation.
🌿 I am currently offering 1-1 sessions (opening up to group sessions very soon). If you are keen to learn more about the breath and the influence it can have on your wellbeing please get in touch to arrange a free consultation call.
🌿 There is a group breathwork & sound healing event in the making also so stay tuned for more info coming soon 🫁🔔
Pause. Take a deep breath. Smile.

….
Mindful Breathing 🫁
💫 Choose a location and set aside some time to practice.
🧘🏼♀️ Get into a comfortable position.
Simply find a quiet place in the house, at work or out in nature.
🫁 Sense the breath as best you can. Focus your attention on the sensations of breathing. This is your anchor – a point of reference that you try to return to whenever possible.
🧠 Notice the inevitable distractions.
Your mind will start to wander at some point. It’s totally natural and doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Whenever it drifts, do your best to notice this and any judgments that may pop up as a result.
🧘🏼♀️ Bring your attention back to the present. Every time you catch the mind wandering, simply try and bring your attention back to the present moment.
Try not to judge yourself or beat yourself up. It’s not about sitting there with a clear mind. The practice is noticing distractions and gently returning to the anchor.
Some benefits of practicing mindful breathing….
Improvements in sleep, stress levels, anxiety, productivity, perceived happiness, and much more.
Smile 😊
Have a great weekend 🙏
