Stars of the week this week are Willliam and Dylan. Both had a fantastic first week back with their passing and moving skills.

Well done to Oscar and Mylo who where tonights star players for their fantastic dribbling. Both boys showcased some brilliant skills in tonight’s session!

Today at Anna Seward, we have been very busy! With the weather more on our side today we have been able to get outside more ☀️! We have been playing football, tennis and handball out on the playground, whilst finishing off our day by hunting for rocks outside and painted them when we got back inside using an Easter theme! 🐣 We have had an amazing day and hopefully the weather is just as good tomorrow for some more fun in the sun 🕶️🌞

Beau and Ben were our stars of the week at Burntwood leisure Centre!! Beau showed technical excellence and scored some amazing goals! Whilst Ben was brave and courageous in defence blocking and stopping everything in his path! Fantastic session from everyone 👏 well done lads!!

Our thrilling Thursday at Etching hill. We Started off with a golf driving range followed by ‘make your own course’. Also we had a blast playing rounders and foot rounders

Super day at Picknalls first school. The weather has been kind to us so we’ve made the most of it playing cricket and rounders before a cracking game of football to finish our morning. Our afternoon consisted of bench ball and dodgeball which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

The children at Anna Seward have had a very busy day. Head Coach Danny has sent the following in:

We have used our imagination this morning and we’ve thought of ways how different animals may play football, starting with Crab Football! We then returned to humans again and played some kickball!

We have also tested our throwing and accuracy when playing dodgeball. We then turned into explorers and worked in teams when taking part in orienteering when we had to find letters and make the words ‘Progressive Sports’ from the jumbled letters!

In between activities the children showed off their dancing moves when playing musical statues and musical bumps!

We have also been very creative and our Arts and Crafts theme has been love to represent Valentine’s Day! The children have been designing valentines cards for their loved ones and spreading positivity with some nice messages and pictures!

The children at Ridgeway primary have had a busy morning taking part in different sports, some of the photos below show them trying their hands at Tri golf, non contact boxing and dodgeball.

Here at Etching Hill we have had a very busy start to the morning!

We still have plenty of activities left to do today.

Today at Anna Seward we have not had the weather on our side but that hasn’t stopped us having loads of fun!! We have done Nerf, Archery, Boxing, arts and craft and played with the toys, using our imagination to construct items out of straws and magnetic blocks. When there was a break in the weather we managed to get out to do some basketball! 🏀

A massive well done to one of our children who managed to win a bottle for being star of the day! ⭐️

What a brilliant day despite the rain at Landywood Primary. Indoor fun playing Golf, Bench Ball, Dodgeball and then some down time of Arts and Crafts.

Brilliant day at Picknalls First School today despite the rain. Our super stars have taken part in cricket , indoor football, non contact boxing and glow in the dark dodgeball. Everyone’s had a great day. See you all tomorrow 👍

Parents - does finding childcare before and after school create challenges for your work schedule? 😩

The government announced last year a new £289 million initiative to expand access to wraparound childcare for primary aged children! 🎉

And it starts from this September 2024!

We've just published a blog post explaining what this means for families across England. The programme aims to extend hours through providers like schools, nurseries, and childminders.

Local councils will take the lead in managing the roll-out in their areas and you'll start to receive information from the school your child attends on how the funding will work.

The funding will make a real positive impact on working families by reducing childcare costs and boosting the number of hours parents can stay at work.
