Ryde Royal British Legion Social Club
Welcome to the Ryde RBL (Royal British Legion) & Ex-Service Men’s Club page Debit card payments welcome.
After a meeting today at Ryde Royal British Legion Social Club it is with great sadness that the club will close, on Friday 12th January. Anybody who has loaned the club, pictures, Shields, books & medals, could you please contact Val Austin the Secretary in order to get them returned. We will ask for proof that they belong to each individual. Thank you.
Please come along tonight and support your club. Val has worked hard to put this on for us despite being ill last week.
Unfortunately we will not be open tonight.
We will be open again on Wednesday 11am as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience.
⚪️🔴🟡 Look at this 😍. There’s a reason why this sport is known as the original game of kings. It’s a game of skill and strategy and we arguably have one of the best tables on the island to practice this. Completely free to use from 2pm on Saturdays and all day Sundays and only £1 for 30mins in usual times, come and get your potting practice in whilst enjoying a refreshment from the bar. Non members welcome for first visit! 🟢🔵🟤⚫️
Well done to everyone who participated in todays Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day 2023. You done a fantastic job ❤️💙🤍
We might not be as big as some places but what we lack in size we make up for in warmth, friendliness and all round good times. Any non-members welcome, we can help you obtain a membership if you wish to become a regular patron.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to message this page or pop in for a chat with any of our friendly staff 😁
Our current opening hours. Times may differ on occasions but there will be notice giving on this page prior.
So important. If you're entitled to a Preserved Pension at 60, get that claim in!
Good news! The preserved pension for many is claimable if someone has qualifying service and can be claimed anytime from a veteran's 60th birthday.
The Forces Pension Society recently put in a Freedom of Information request that showed that during the 24-month period, between 1st June 2020 – 31st May 2022, over 4,000 Armed Forces pensions went unclaimed. So make sure you claim yours!
If you served in the Armed Forces from 1 April 1975 and left without entitlement to immediate benefits you could have an unclaimed pension.
Did you know many veterans who served before being awarded a pension on leaving the service, probably don't know about or claim their 'preserved pensions’? Are you one of those Veterans?
If you aren’t sure if you are eligible or how to claim yours, contact VOS' office for more info.
