Have you got your entry in yet? – Taking part is the only way to get your hands on this fabulous medal designed by Sarah Probert, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Dale Greig’s historic running of the Isle of Wight Marathon in 1964, which was the first EVER Marathon by a woman.

To learn more about Dale Greig, and the Isle of Wight Marathon contribution to Women’s Marathon history. In partnership with Ryde Harriers, Katie Holmes (independent sports historian https://www.facebook.com/runyoung50) has put together a historical display, which will be on show on race day at the Isle of Wight Marathon - Race HQ.
From now until the 4th October, the historical display is being hosted by the Island’s running shop Love Running, at 52 Upper St James Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1LQ. While you are there, why not pop in for all your running needs.

Final preparations for the Isle of Wight Marathon are underway, a selection of sweets will be wating for you at the water stations at 12.8mile and beyond, to keep you going all the way to the finish, to collect your well urged medal.

Isle of Wight Fell Running Championship 7/8 Sept 2024

Thanks to everyone who ran and marshalled at the Isle of Wight Fells this weekend. I greatly appreciate all the marshals help particularly on the worst weekend for weather we've had in a while!
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves despite the weather and mud!

I'll be organising again next year on 13/14 Sept 2025, if you could put the word out in your club and any local clubs I'd appreciate it.

Isle of Wight and SEAA Fell Running Championships - 7/8 Sept
This years freebie is a gym bag.
If you're going to enter the Fell Races please can you do so by 2nd Sept so you qualify for the SEAA Championships, it's the 30th Anniversary this year so would be good to have a good turnout.
If you're only doing one or two races I'd appreciate pre-entry as it makes it easier for me on the day.

Top Island runners Matt and Chris make top 12 from 18,000 in London 10k Two runners represent the Isle of Wight with pride in London 10k.

Ryde Harriers excel in big events across The Solent Isle of Wight athletes belonging to the Ryde Harriers club ran superbly in contests over The Solent recently.

Apologies for the delay in opening entries, which we had planned to open on 8th Oct. But unfortunately, a couple of days before, our previous online entry provider Realbuzz, announced they were not continuing to provide the service beyond the end of 2023.
