Yesterday was a great afternoon and a really good game against Malton and Old Malton thirds. Amazing tea provided as well by the Malton lads.

We have extended our parking area so that we have more room per car. We are just finishing it off but there will be marked bays all the way along and the last space in front of the garage.

Fresh bread delivered to the back door from at Danby really makes the breakfast sandwiches something special. Alongside bacon and sausage from i genuinely struggle to resist eating them everyday!

Dog sitting at the moment so walked up the cinder path to just past Hawsker, cut down through Northcliffe caravan park to the coastal path (Cleveland way) and walked back to Saltwick Bay, and then to the Abbey and Whitby Brewery for an Abbey Blonde and a Stone Baked Pizza!

Whilst Laura did breakfast this morning myself and Caitlin headed across the road to Caedmon school 6th form site to the Cinder Path Park Run. Its a five minute walk and starts at 9am every Saturday. It was my second time and Caitlin’s first and despite it being cold and windy she did amazing! Very proud of her.

We are blessed with beautiful walks around Whitby, today was glorious, so we walked to Sandsend which is about 3 miles, had some really tasty Thai Green Mussels and some crab fries at the fish cottage, which i have to say were so good i almost had seconds! This was dairy and Gluten free, as was the Wine 🤣 Also popped into our other favorite place Marys Sandwich Bar just to check they had plenty of wine, beers and amazing food, and you can rest assured that they did!

Got the Golf Bats out today, after being invited for a round at with my Dad and his friends. There are lots of lovely courses in the area including which is only 5 minutes drive from Hillcrest. Hunley Hall has 27 holes, a driving range, and a really nice bar and is a 30 minute drive up the coast.
Also check out scarborough north bay and South cliff courses and if your thinking of getting your golf bats out too!!!

Went for a lovely walk around the Esk Valley, there are loads of circular routes following the rivers, railway lines etc. We started and finished at Grosmont, and went via Green End to Beckhole. Then back along the rail trail to the hamlet of Esk Valley, then cut up to Honey Bee Nest along to Egton Bridge ( stopping for a bite to eat at the Bottom Horseshoe ) and back along the old Toll Road to Grosmont.

Great walk to Robin Hoods Bay yesterday, it was about 7 miles along the cinder path, then had a wander around the bottom of the bay and had a nice lunch at
Got the bus back which was £2 per person on the X93 and the bus stop on prospect hill is only 20 meters away.

Lovely walk to sandsend today, and a lovely sandwich at Marys Sandwich shop. They do great food lunch times and evenings. And had a lovely mongozo mango beer! I must be a hipster.

Despite the snow, i thought it would be a good idea to go surfing, average waves but a beautiful morning in the sea with my good mate Sam and the legend Pete T was out too! Happy Days!

Its Christmas market weekend in whitby, and Laura’s been at it with some early Christmas decorations. We are full of people looking to get their Christmas shopping done early and Whitby is full of amazing independent businesses offering loads of choice and of course there are events at the pop up Christmas market situated down at the marina wharf car park. We don’t have availability till Sunday, and we are open up until the 22nd of December.

Goth weekend always marks the end of our high season, but for the first time since taking Hillcrest in 2021, we will be open all winter. Other than taking some family time, this week until the 13th of November, and we will be closed from the 22nd of December until the 19th of January. The cinder path (the old railway line) starts just opposite us at the back of prospect hill. It runs all the way to Scarborough, via, stainsacre, hawsker, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Hayburn Wyke, Cloughton, and eventually Scalby and Scarborough. We only walked to hawsker and back via sunday lunch at the Windmill inn at Stainsacre for a fantastic Sunday lunch! It was a toral of 10km to do that particular walk. And although up hill to Hawsker, it was downhill all the way home!
