Super excited to share that I will soon be qualified to teach pregnancy and postnatal yoga 🎉🥳
I have been fascinated by pregnancy, the changes that the body and mind experience and the labour process for a long time (poor Josh has been subjected to many episodes of one born every minute). In my degree we spent a year studying anatomy and physiology and the pregnancy element was one of my favourite parts. So this felt like a very logical next step in my teacher training journey. 😌
Excited to share my learnings from this experience with you and organise additional classes/ offerings for people on their pregnancy journey and beyond. Also excited to continue my professional development in yoga - the learning really doesn’t ever end!
If you are pregnant or have friends that are pregnant and you think they’d be interested, please connect with me so that I can keep you updated on pregnancy and postnatal yoga offerings 🤍
Hey yogis!
A quick message regarding class bookings.
The New Year, as I’m sure you can imagine, is a really busy time for yoga studios/ yoga teachers, given that many people are looking to try something new, which is really amazing.
It does mean, however, that classes are filling up quite far in advance now for January. I really wish that I could incorporate everyone into the classes, but it’s essential to set a maximum number of participants so that there is still a cozy, intimate feel to the classes, and to ensure the practice is safe.
I haven’t got firm plans to add regular additional classes to my schedule just yet, as I am taking on some courses this year to enhance my training (more on that later 😉) and I am still working full time. Eventually I hope to be able to bring you all more yoga, but balance is really important. 😊 In the meantime I will continue to add ad-hoc events and the odd weekend class to my schedule when my availability allows it.
What I would like to advise/ ask you all is:
-Please book your classes as far in advance as possible – remember you can receive a refund for any classes so long as you cancel 24 hours in advance of the class starting.
-If the 24-hour window has passed and you can’t attend a class, please still cancel your place through your booking email. This means that somebody else from the waitlist can take your space.
-Remember that 10x or 20x class passes do not expire, so you have as long as you need to use those passes and attend classes.
Thank you so much 🙂

Happy New Year everyone! 🥳🤩
Thank you SO much for all of your support in 2023. It truly means the world to me that so many of you have joined me for weekly classes, and have enjoyed introducing a yoga practice into your lives.
I'm so excited to be back teaching tomorrow, with lots of exciting class themes planned for 2024. Take a look at the schedule below.
Love and light,

Crafting a scientific study that robustly measures the impact of yoga – which can be replicated – is far from easy. That’s not to say that scientists aren’t trying their very, very best to do it.
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Maren Nyer about her team's eight-week clinical trial that tested the effects of Bikram yoga on depressive symptoms.
This interview is one of my favourites so far this year. Dr. Nyer discussed:
-Interesting research on whole-body hyperthermia that was published whilst this study was being conducted.
-Why it is generally challenging to measure the effects of an intervention such as yoga.
-Why the study included participants that were on / off antidepressant treatment.
-How more data could be captured in the future on the effects of hot yoga on mental health.
A joy when my two jobs collide!

Held my first one-to-one restorative at home with one of my lovely yogis tonight. It felt really personal and intimate and just all round lovely. ✨
One-to-ones are a beautiful way to:
✨connect more deeply with a teacher/ student, and to understand their needs better so you can curate a practice that is personal for them.
✨try yoga for the first time if you’re a little nervous about coming to a group class.
✨have a good chinwag ☕️🥰
If you’re interested in joining me at my home (or yours) I am offering these sessions outside of my core working hours (5pm onwards). I have limited availability but would love to connect with more students in this way. Please message or email for more information 💗

To-do lists, responsibilities and distractions can prevent us from truly spending time with ourselves, our physical bodies and our emotions.
The last Tuesday of each month I dedicate time to relaxation. To finding quiet and peace. Slow movements. Slow breathing. They’re my favourite to teach and a favourite among many of my yogis!

I like documenting the different themes/ concepts I’m exploring in classes 🤓 it often leads to fruitful and inspiring conversations with fellow teachers which I love💫
Tonight we focused on the experiences of sthira and sukha in our practice. Sthira can be interpreted as meaning steady, stable, with intent, whereas sukha can be interpreted as ease, comfort, and space. We explored how we might find both in our practice:
👣 Physically
As our body enters the shape of the asana (considering adjustments for our unique bodies), how can we find steadiness without the experience of strain? Can we think about how we can engage ourselves in the shape of the asana, but also allow our bodies to feel expressive within the space we’re creating? Could we utilise the breath in this moment to encourage a sense of ease and openness whilst maintaining focus? If we push ourselves to enter a pose when it’s not quite for the right reasons, we miss out on the opportunity to experience our body as it is in that moment, not how we want it to be.
&
🧠 Mentally
We know our minds like to wander. It’s a completely natural part of being human. Moving with intent, focusing on the experience of the movements (how do my hips feel when I move like this? how does my breath change when I move into this twist?), can encourage us to remain present in our experience while simultaneously detaching from the chatter of our thoughts, and the world beyond the edges of our mats in that moment.
Loved diving deeper into this theme. And would love to hear how others experience sthira and sukha on and off the mat 🎙️🗣️
One space left to join our weekly yoga class 🤍
Once a month I dedicate a class to slower paced movement, longer meditation and pranayama practice. Yoga to encourage relaxation and a state of acceptance for whatever arises in our practice. They’re swiftly becoming my favourite classes to teach. Especially as the nights draw in and the seasons change - I feel a calling for more introspection in my own practice and it’s a privilege to hold that kind of space for others.
Love to all of you who keep showing up for yourselves and attending these classes. They can be more challenging than really physical vinyasa flows as we’re less focused on lefts and rights, which foot goes where, etc. But by coming back to a state of awareness whenever our minds want to draw us away from the sensations we feel in our bodies, over and over again, we cultivate a resilience that can support us in our lives beyond the mat.🤍
I'm back from my holidays! 🫶
Which means weekly yoga classes are BACK until Christmas.
Please note that tomorrow I am only teaching the 6pm class. From October 10th all classes (6pm and 7:15pm) are back to normal, and I have a few additional Sunday classes and workshops for you to check out.
Lovely energy at tonight’s classes!
My loves I’m excited to share my September-December offerings with you, which can now be booked through my website.
As we head towards the end of the year, the seasons will change and we’ll be exploring themes and concepts such as self expression in your practice, navigating change, cultivating energy and how to make space for rest.
If you’ve never practiced yoga before you are so welcome to join us. Im so proud that we have the most lovely groups coming to class each week and this has created a non judgmental, caring space for you to explore the practice of yoga.
Love to you all 🩵

Gorgeous vibes for last nights rest and relaxation class.
I’m off to rest myself for a week in the sun ☀️ so there is no class next Tuesday. I’m back Sunday the 10th for a 9am vinyasa flow.
Classes are getting full in advance at the moment guys. I’m so unbelievably grateful 🙏 please make sure you book as far in advance as possible for your classes to ensure your space is secured. Remember you can always cancel with 24 hours’ notice if you don’t make it.
See you in September! ✌️
https://mollyonthematyoga.offeringtree.com/schedule
I have added three Sunday morning classes to my calendar, on July 30th, August 6th and August 20th. These classes will be held from 9am-10am at the Pavilion.
If you have any friends that are new to yoga and that you think would enjoy these classes, I’m happy to share a discount code for them. They can use code SUMMER, and this makes the cost of the class just a fiver. A barg! You’re also welcome to use your class passes.
I know some of you can’t always make the Tuesday classes, so hopefully this offering helps support you in maintaining your yoga practice. I anticipate these classes might fill up so please book your places early - remember you can always cancel with 24 hrs notice if you can't make it :)
Hope to see you on the mat and as per usual if you have any questions, please drop me an email.
