Big yellow Oxford, we are delighted to share the recent renovation of our flooring in two reception areas, the WC, and general back-of-house spaces. During the assessment, we encountered a high relative humidity reading in the floor, prompting us to apply a moisture suppressant to ensure longevity.

To achieve the best possible outcome, we prepared the floors using Ardex screeds and performed a thorough diamond grind to remove the old pre-screed floors. Finally, we installed Forbo Linoleum, a sustainable and naturally manufactured floor covering that aligns with our commitment to environmental consciousness.

At our establishment, we firmly believe in the importance of thorough preparation to prevent any potential issues after installation. This approach allows us to provide our valued customers with floors that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and long-lasting.

A local school recently underwent a remarkable transformation.

The project involved the removal of the old flooring, thorough cleaning of the existing ceramics, and the installation of a latex screed and new safety flooring.

New carpets were laid in the office, meeting room, classroom spaces, and corridor.

The visual impact of the new flooring has been transformative, creating a more modern and inviting environment for students and staff.

A recent commercial kitchen installation was completed for a local restaurant that relocated to the picturesque village of Wortley.

The Wortley Arms dates back to the 1750s, so we anticipated potential challenges with the existing flooring. Upon removing the old flooring, we discovered a compromised asphalt floor screed that was ineffective in preventing rising damp. Following consultations, we removed the screed, which was approximately 35mm thick, to address the underlying issues.
The original York stone slabs were revealed during the process.
Due to time constraints, we were unable to install a new floor slab. Therefore, we implemented a system that we were confident would resolve the issues and maintain the project schedule. After the slab was prepared, a resin primer was applied and sand blinded to create a key. Ardex Na screed was then mixed with aggregate to bulk the product. Once dried, Ardex DPM 1CR, an epoxy DPM, was used to control the rising moisture. After curing for 5 hours, a further coat of Ardex NA screed was applied to raise the level and ensure the floor was ready for the flooring.
Polyflor Apex 55 3mm thick was specified for optimum slip resistance and wear for a busy commercial kitchen. Perimeter walls were prepared so the vinyl floor could be coved and welded to prevent ingress of liquids and grease.
The end result is a great finish to a hard job, especially with the preparation areas not seen.

Well that was challenge🫣.
Recently we updated another floor for Amazon UK to the Hub/canteen area.
The existing 250m2 of vinyl tiles had been bonded down far too well, so we used our mechanical floor st*****rs to remove, which was a feat in its self.
Once removed, the existing plyboard was left in situ and we repaired with Uzin630, a 2part prime and fill product, left overnight and Uzin 196 smoothing compound was used over the whole floor.
Recommending polysafe standard for the floor finish throughout as this is an economical safe floor, which is easy to clean, non slip and adds a new dimension to the new open canteen space.
Joints all heat welded, perimeters sealed, floor complete, furniture back in..phew 👊

New remodel of the flooring in a medical centre in Buxton, the existing carpeting had to be removed from the reception,corridors,office and entrance ways as a request for a vinyl floor finish.
Full plyboard to the entire areas and we recommended polyflor wood fx, with a modern wood effect finish and safety slip resistant surface made the perfect choice.
Carried out over 2 weekends to minimise disruption,

Full refurbishment of over 250m2, the old carpet was removed, the metal raised access floor was plyboarded for a smooth finish. The clients Hilton Hotel and the F.A discussed the options and opted for a Kardean rigid core commercial limestone style tile in a contemporary mid grey shade, product tile is a loose lay 5G click system, a 5-8mm expansion gap has to be allowed for, and where we had to include natural breaks, brushed chrome brass strips was used for a prestigious feel.

Remodel to a care home commercial kitchen and dining area in Alderley Edge.
After degreasing the ceramic wall tiles, hygenic pvc wall cladding was installed with thermoformed smoothed corners, the old flooring was ripped up and screeded with Ardex premium screed. New high quality safety flooring was installed with optimum slip resistance, Ultima from Polyflor. New wood effect safety floor was installed to the Dining area.

What a transformation at the Black Bull, Midgely, unfortunately has been closed for a few years, now comeback with a complete makeover. Preparing a floor ready for some Karndean flooring. Removed the old flooring, grind the old adhesive off, full epoxy dpm, and leveled the floor in ateasvto 20mm plus. Also strengthen some weak builders screed with epoxy to make suitable for a leveler...all in all, no point in installing without the unseen work required.

We had a great opportunity to work for Amazon in Barlborough to update the canteen areas. The old flooring had failed due to poor preparation. We ripped out the old flooring and reboarded the raised access floor, the joints smoothed with ardex feather finish. 400m2 of polysafe safety floor installed with Ardex adhesives. We had great feedback about the whole installation process and have been handed further work throughout the warehouse.

Whilst England was training, we opted to lay some floors instead, didn't have time for a kick about😆,🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
