Another Guildhall Cup victory for the lads! A massive performance last night sees us come out on top with a 3-1 victory over Standish!

An early solo goal from Connor Tierney was enough to see S&A go in 1-0 up at half time after a tight first half.

The lads came out in the second half and carried on in the same fashion scoring early through Tom Howarth, as he he capitalised on a loose ball in the box to head home (2:0).

Standish got one back in the 70th minute after a quick throw in routine was headed home at the back post (2:1).

The lads managed to see the game through and countered from a Standish set piece. Tom Haworth released Connor Tierney who ran clean through from his own half. One on one with goal keeper he coolly dinked it over the keeper to make it 3-1!

A great all round performance from the lads and a well deserved victory! Thank you to everyone that came down to support the lads and to our opponents Standish for a great game!
