Thank you to all who have donated to our Santa Dash today. We raised a fabulous £356.49.
Our Christmas Turkey Teacher 🦃 was Mr Murday who had a whopping £146 in his bucket, closely followed by Mr Locke who had £97 in his bucket. All the other teachers didn't reach these amounts and were very happy 🤣
However, in true Barnfields style, we didn't want Mr Locke to feel left out, so we surprised him by letting him know he was going to be a Christmas Unicorn 🦄.
The children had an amazing day and watching the Turkey and the Unicorn run was something of an experience.
We need to say a big thank you to Barnfields PE Department for arranging the activities and to the Yr 6 PE Ambassadors for all their help today.
Ultimately, the biggest thanks must go to all our fabulous children, as well as Mr Murday and Mr Locke for being such good sports!!
PTFA 🌈
Don't forget the Santa Dash on Friday!!
Bring your £1 to put into the bucket, of the teacher you want to dress as an inflatable turkey 🦃, for the children to wear their Christmas jumper. Extra pennies to try and secure your favourite teachers place are welcomed 😉
Children can wear their own clothes with their Christmas jumper, but please remember that this is an outside event. Please ensure your child wears sensible foot wear (for running, jumping, trotting like a Reindeer) and have warm clothes and their coats/hats/gloves ect.
We can't wait to see which teacher will be wearing the Turkey suit 😉
🎅🦃 Santa Dash 🦃🎅
Our Santa Dash will be taking place on Friday 8th December, along with the P.E. Department and in the school day. Each child will receive a small gift for taking part.
Children can wear a Christmas jumper on this day, in exchange for a £1 donation.
We will be outside school on the morning of Friday 8th to collect your £1.
As it was cancelled last year, due to the flood it's back this year!!!
You can put your £1 in the bucket for the teacher you want to complete the Santa Dash wearing an inflatable Turkey Suit 🦃 So, if you wish a particular teacher to take part, we will gratefully accept more donations of any amount, on top of your £1, into that teachers bucket 🤪.
Teachers taking part are the SLT. Unfortunately, due to his injury Mr Ball is exempt this year and Miss Anerson will be taking his place. Therefore, the teachers who will contend for the Turkey Suit are:
🦃Mr Locke - Deputy Head.
🦃Mrs Crossland-Nash -Upper KS2.
🦃Mrs Turton - KS2.
🦃Mr Murday - KS1.
🦃Miss Anderson - on behalf of Mr Ball.
🦃Miss Walker - Early years (Reception).
For those who had already donated last year, thank you we had already raised £62 and Mr Murday was just in the lead last year by just 26 pence!!!
We can't wait to see which teacher will be gobbling around the track and I know the children will love this too!
Lets get those buckets full!

The event will take place over 13th and 14th December during the school day. We will let you know what year group is on which days, once this has been arranged.
Please ensure your child has their money in a named envelope or purse and they bring a carrier bag in to bring their gifts home.
Big Bears will partake in attending Elfridges and we will attend Nursery for Little Bears. Nursery will let you know dates for all our littlies.

For those who have said they can help with wrapping, would you be able to collect from school on Friday at 4:30pm? Is this do-able for most people, or would a second collection time of 5:30 be helpful for those who work?
We also require more Elves to help with the Elfridges shop on 14th, if anyone is avalible 🎅

Hi all,
Unfortunately we will have to cancel Wednesdays (tomorrow) meeting due to work commitments.
We will let you know when our next meeting is and will let you know of any help that will be needed.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Many thanks
🌈
Hi all,
We will be holding our next PTFA meeting on Wednesday (8th) November.
This will be in the school hall at 3:30pm straight from school, as we are trying to accommodate more people to attend who have children so it isn't too late. We will show a film in the hall to keep the children entertained.
We will be discussing our options for Christmas this year and this will all depend on what volunteers we have, as it is a big task to be able to put on these events, with a small committee who all work full time.
We hope to see as many of you as we can there.

Our PTFA would like to say a fond farewell to our schools longest serving T.A.
Mrs Salt, Reception T.A is leaving Barnfields today after 22 years at the school. She has been one of our biggest supporters over the years and we know everyone loves her!
Mrs Salt on behalf of Barnfields PTFA past and present, thank you for all your have done for the PTFA and our Barnfields children.
We will miss you.
What a Spooktacular two evenings we have had.
Two evenings of Spooky Silent Discos, fun, fantastic costumes and dancing 🎃
(All children used in main pictures are our own little monsters).
Thank you to our amazing volunteers too, your help is invaluable to making these events happen.
To all our parents and our amazing Barnfields children, thank you again for all your support!
PTFA 🎃
We are looking forward to seeing you all at our Spooky Silent Discos tomorrow and Wednesday.
Please remember your child doesn't need any money for snack or glitter tattoos as this is included in the price.
Your child is more than welcome to dress up if they wish. This is not compulsory and their choice. However, can we please ask no masks are worn, as we need to be able to identify the children, and for saftey reasons no Halloween props are broughts (plastic axes, broom sticks ect), as we do not wish any accidental injury or these to get lost.
See you for the Monster Mash!

Hi all,
Sum Up is now working again for all those who need to pay for the Silent Disco 😁
Hi all.
Anyone trying to pay for Silent Discos, there is a problem with Sum Up their end. We have raised this and as soon as it is back up and running we will let you know.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Don't forget Tuesday!!! Last chance before half term to have a clear out and make some money for the school ❤️🌈
BAGS2SCHOOL are collecting again on Tuesday 10th October.
Any unwanted:
•clothes
•paired shoes

•soft toys .
Usual place (by the oak tree near school turning circle) from 8am.
Can bring them in bin bags/liners/carrier bags/bags for life.

Following the PTFA meeting this evening, we have made the decision that due to lack of volunteers we are unable to offer Breakfast with Santa this year.
The Christmas Shop “Elfridges” will unfortunately also have to be volunteer dependent, so this may also not be able to go ahead.
The PTFA are a core Committee of 6 people, who all work full time and we are all parents too . We can not physically accommodate all of our fun activities with 6 people only.
We hope you understand our pleas when we ask for Volunteers, as this is why and we can not do it on our own.
If you feel you can help, please contact us.
PTFA 🌈
PTFA meeting.
We will be holding our first meeting of the year, this Thursday at the Wildwood Pub at 7:30pm.
All welcome and we would love, and in all honesty need more volunteers to come and see what we do and offer your help for some of our events (Silent Discos are coming up and are great fun 😉) Even if its only an hour of your time.
As much as we love doing what we do, its time consuming and exhausting and we need your help 🫵.
So if you can spare an hour on Thursday evening and wish to escape the bedtime chaos, come and say hi 😁
PTFA 🌈
Hi all,
If you're booking for the Silent Discos, please can you pay on Sum Up first, before filling out the forms.
You don't get the payment refrence number until after you've paid, and you can't amend afterwards and its causing some problems.
If you have done this please can you email [email protected] rather than comment on posts, as its easier for us to manage and ensure we have all your booking reference numbers.
Thanks ❤️
