A little bit about me.

I’m Nathan, Clinical Director and founder of NMED Clinic.

I am a registered medical professional with over 10 years’ experience working in emergency medicine and critical care and still regularly maintain my practise within the NHS.

I have been practising aesthetic medicine for over 5 years and I undergone extensive training and qualifications to provide a range of medical aesthetic treatments. I hold a post graduate diploma in clinical aesthetic injectables.

I am extremely privileged to be the Head of Training for the award winning and well respected .uk training academy.

NMED Clinic is regulated and inspected by the CQC to give reassurance to my patients that they are getting the very best care.

I am passionate about delivering natural results with an ethical approach to treatment, using only premium quality products sourced from approved UK pharmacies.

Nose to mouth lines? Who else gets troubled by them?

The Naso-labial fold aka nose to mouth lines appear as we age and the temptation is to place dermal filler in them to help reduce the appearance…

Wrong! We have to look at the ageing process and asses what has changed. The most common reason for this is a loss of volume in the front portion of the cheek as you can see here in these pictures.

Treating the volume loss of the cheek has many benefits to face- you can see that the fold has reduced, the under eye area looks less hollow and contour is rounder.

Jumping in and placing dermal filler in the naso-labial fold without support of the cheek will just make things worse and when not done correctly can give a bulldog appearance to the mouth.

Injectable brow lift.
Heavy, hooded eyes are a common concern of patients in clinic. Often there are limited options of treatment.
In most cases the only true way to treatment is with surgery but this just isn’t a viable option for all patients.
One treatment option in clinic is an injectable brow lift. Reducing the pull of the tail of the brow causing the brow and eyes to lift.
This by no means gives the same result as surgical treatments however the minimal lift that can be achieved can make a significant difference to patients like you can see here.
The eye appears more open giving the patient a more awake and brighter eye appearance.

So today I had the lovely back in clinic.

This lovely patient of mine has always been concerned about the appearance of her lower face. She has always had good natural cheek volume but felt her cheeks have always been prominent causing the lower face to look more hollow (as highlighted by the yellow circle). So over the space of two treatments we have use a total of 4mls of dermal filler. Adding volume to the lower face, under the cheek to help blend the appearance of harsh contours (highlighted in green)
We haven’t completely got rid of the contour as we want to preserve some natural definition. (Swipe to see the non-highlighted before and after).
