A Sunday well spent brings a week of content they say and I couldn’t have agreed more this past Sunday morning. Started off with 🌳Park Yoga - FREE outdoor yoga at Vivary Park. and then onto my first sound bath courtesy of Sound-Well I certainly felt amazing in the afternoon that’s for sure!

Both activities perfect for body and mind and keeping those perimenopause symptoms in check ! Roll on next sunday!

Bloating during and is a common symptom caused by a combination of hormonal changes and lifestyle factors.

Here’s why it may happen:

Hormonal fluctuations
Water retention
Slower digestion
Changes in gut bacteria
Increased sensitivity
Stress and anxiety
Dietary changes

However if bloating persists and doesn’t feel right for you, then please consult a health care professional

It’s been a while since I said hello, so I thought it was time for a quick reintroduction with some fun facts about me.

I’m Lucy, a Menopause Wellness Practitioner, living in Taunton Somerset. I love what I do and I'm passionate about providing personalised support to everyone navigating peri/menopause because I believe in tailored care for each individual.

My spare time is precious too and I love catching up with friends and family, spending time with my dog and getting out to see the world as much as I can.

I love the summer for the live music events it brings, but I love autumn/winter more.

Testosterone decline in perimenopausal women can contribute to various symptoms, including decreased libido, reduced muscle mass, and changes in mood and energy levels.

Raising testosterone levels naturally can be approached through various lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, and supplements.

Exercise Regularly including Strength training and HIIT workouts

Maintain a Healthy Weight

Get enough sleep

Manage your stress

Eat a diet rich in whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins plus foods rich in Zinc and Vitamin D as these can support testosterone production.

A morning well spent with these beautiful souls at our monthly Inspiring Success Collaborative Online Meetup. 🫶

It was so good to see everyone and welcome some new faces to my online community; Goldfinch Marketing, Lucy Squire Menopause Wellness Practitioner, NV Health and Fitness, Nurture with Nature, Jane Deacon - Hina Light Therapies to Transform your Life, BendyLife Yoga and Lasting Powers of Attorney Somerset, who sadly had tech issues so we hope to welcome next month.

Great conversations were had in the breakout rooms with some special pairings... I do try to work my magic! 😘

It's why I love these online collaborative sessions. They're so helpful and real. They're our equivalent coffee machine/lunchbreak time from back in our corporate days, now as business owners. 🤩

This month, the lovely Melissa Lewis PR & Communications hosted the 'Spotlight Session' and shared with us some of her PR background - client, and agency side, why she set up her business which led into an insightful talk on "Why Business Owners Should Invest in PR".

May is Stroke Awareness Month

I want to take a moment to highlight the important connection between menopause and stroke awareness. Stroke is a leading cause of serious long-term disability and is especially significant for women going through the menopause transition.

During this time it is important to maintain a heart healthy lifestyle, by eating a balanced diet rich in fruit, veg, whole grains and lean proteins, staying active, avoiding smoking and limiting alcohol – your health is your greatest asset.

Making mindful choices about what we eat can have a big impact on how we feel. One simple yet powerful change? Avoiding ultra-processed foods! Here's why:

Better Mood: Ultra-processed foods often contain high levels of sugar and unhealthy fats, which can lead to mood swings and energy crashes.

Weight Management: Ultra-processed foods are usually high in calories but low in nutrients, making weight management harder.
